THIS BOOK IS A TOTAL GAMECHANGER IN THE FIELD OF YOGA AND WELLNESS!!
Over the past 5 years, I have practiced the work of the author, Lee Albert. This groundbreaking book is a culmination of the life’s work of the author in dedicating himself to helping people learn simple and highly effective tools to perform optimally and live without pain. In my experience as a tennis player and coach, a yoga instructor, and a Master’s graduate in Exercise Science; this book has some of the best information I have learned and successfully applied. I had low back pain for many years and tried almost everything else out there and it wasn’t until I learned Lee Albert’s methods that my pain quickly subsided. This book demonstrates exercises that help relieve pain and promote balance and well-being versus exercises that exacerbate the pain. Just because a muscle feels “tight” doesn’t necessarily mean that stretching it is the best method. Lee Albert sheds light on this and addresses muscle imbalances. I truly hope this book inspires the yoga, wellness, and medical community to learn how pain can be treated in a simple way that will soon become common knowledge. This is a must read for anyone looking to ease/eliminate their pain and/or improve their performance. It is an essential reading for laypeople and anyone in the wellness world including and not limited to Physical Therapists, Trainers, and Medical Professionals. I hope this review was helpful!

If you want pain relief, read this book.
If you have been living with lower back, hip and/or leg pain as I was, you owe it to yourself to read this book. I exercised regularly, but nothing was helping. After enduring months of pain, I was ready to go to a pain doctor, but decided to try one last thing before I did. I had heard about Lee’s IPT therapeutic approach from a friend who had knowledge of his success using specific yoga exercises and techniques to relieve musculoskeletal pain. I then attended his class at Kripalu and began to feel the results immediately. But I knew I needed to continue with the yoga practice he taught, so I purchased this book and set to work. The book is straight-forward, easy to follow, with many helpful diagrams showing the asanas and explaining which areas of the body they target. He also teaches breathing and meditation techniques, which I have begun to incorporate into my practice as well. I am thrilled to say that after a few months of daily sessions following the instructions in his book, I am completely pain-free.

Life changing book if you have back pain.
I have had the please of going to see Lee Albert twice at Kripalu in Lee Massachusetts which is a famous yoga place. I don’t do yoga but a massage therapist in CT recommended I get his first book and it changed how I address my joint and back pain. For instance did you know that one of the best back exercises is to stretch your quads? He explains it all in his first book along with good picture illustrations of the easy stretches and real life points on how to sit in a car or at a desk. I feel the second book which says yoga for pain relief really isn’t only for yoga people. Like I said I don’t do yoga. Anyway the second book gives even more of the easy stretches which are also very helpful. Get both of his books and they will change your life. I have gifted these books many many times.

I just started reading this book, but some of …
I just started reading this book, but some of the text is missing on the right side of the window? I do not know how to adjust for this or if it will continue throughout the book. I think the information presented by Lee Albert is valuable and helpful in naturally dealing with pain.

Could help relieve pain for the elderly
It’s given me suggestions to help relieve my neck, shoulder, hip and knee pain.I’m 83 years old and walk and ride an exercise bike daily and lift weights 4 times a week.I also bought the companion book “Live Pain-Free”.I saw the author on PBS TV and was very impressed, to the point, I bought both books.Good luck and pain-free to all of us.

    LOOK NO FURTHER!
Yoga for pain relief is a wonderful book for anyone looking to liberate themselves from pain. Based on the principles from Lee Albert’s first book Live Pain-Free without Drugs or Surgery, he takes his Integrated Positional Therapy Protocol and presents it in a simple and effective approach using Yoga. As a Marine Corps Veteran and former college athlete I’ve had my share of injuries and surgery, I lived with pain for many years. Today I write this review pain free thanks to Lee Albert and his Integrated Positional Therapy Protocol. If I can do it so can anyone reading this review, it’s all here in these two amazing books! As a profesional bodyworker I treat all of my clients using the principles that are in these books, it works plain and simple. I cannot recommend these books and Lee’s trainings enough because they have changed my life both personally and professionally. Thank you Lee.

Following these simple yet essential practices well described and documented by Lee Albert, are invaluable as we age. The most difficult thing is to just get started. Lee gives many good suggestions for weaving these simple practices into daily life.
