Excellent resources
I love this book. It spares me having to research each plant I’m interested in the NIH database for contraindications and mechanism of action. Very useful, time saving resource.

Good Reference Book
This is a great book to have for clinicians as well as the aspiring herbalist. The material is presented in an easy format and it has most of the information that a clinical person would want to have from availabe forms, dosages, administration guidelines to drug/herb interactions along with a wealth of other information. This is a wonderful addition to anyone’s herbal library.

Winston & Kuhn’s Herbal Therapy and Supplements:
This is the best book on the subject I have seen. It was recommended to me by a lady who sells herbs and supplements and who has a reputation for excellent research. I particularly enjoy the Kindle version for the “Search This Book” feature. The descriptions are clear and concise and include a bibliography for each herb and supplement. I highly recommend it.

Good but could use more plants
Iâll keep this book in my library, however, I find that many of the plants Iâm looking for are not included. I do like the format, so it will be a companion to other books I have that are a bit more exhaustive.

My favorite book right now. Lots of good information. I have a lot of herb books but I like this a lot. It is compact and gives you what you need.

Well written extensive herbal guide
Appreciate the extensive, researched information in this guide. The book is not large in size, easily can pack it for travel. Definitely a good book to include in your herbal library.

This book is a great little resource. It is well indexed, and the information within the book is well written, clearly presented and concise. The inclusion of references backs up the information that the authors have put together and allows more in depth research, if required. The appendices provide tabulated information which is quick reference and easy to follow.I use this book a lot when I need a quick reference as it provides me with the majority of information that I need to know in a very short space of time – ideal when you are in a patient facing situation. Ideal for quick knowledge gathering on herbals, but if you are expecting information on vitamin and mineral supplementation you will not find a lot within this book, although some are covered (as you will see from the contents). For a small book its content is huge and how they have packed so much useful information into one little book is a credit to the authors: there are much larger , and much more expensive, books out there which do half the job of this! Whether you are starting out in herbal medicine/nutritional therapy or are an experienced practitioner, this book is a great addition to your bookcase.
