    Veterinary Essential/Most Accurate Thermometer
I’m a retired veterinarian, but when I was in practice, I insisted on using this thermometer with a rectal probe. (red well). I have seven dogs so now I still use this for home use. This thermometer gives the fastest and most accurate results. It drives me nuts when a technician whips out one of those cheap thermometers you can get at a drugstore for 10 bucks. For human use, I switch to the oral probe with the blue well. This is expensive, but it is what I consider to be the absolute gold standard in the thermometers. I’ve trusted it for decades and still do.

    Use what the professionals have
Exactly what I’ve been looking for as an in home health care provider. I’ve never had any luck with temporal or forehead thermometers being as accurate as the old fashioned under the tongue method.

    I Trust it!
After downloading the user’s manual and a few uses, I find it really easy and quick to get a reading. And, I do not have to sanitize the probe since it uses single use covers (had to figure out that I needed to press down hard to load a probe cover). Since I’m not in the medical field, I was reluctant to spend the money for this professional grade thermometer, but after using it for a week, I’m glad I did. I had two big box store electronic thermometers which were up to 1.5 degrees apart . . . useless.

Expensive doesn’t always equate to a great product
When I first got this it worked really well. However fast forward to month 7, today I got an error code which after looking it up it says the probe is bad. I have not used it more than 20 times since January so how does the probe go bad already?! Complete waste of money. Save yours and find something else that will last.

    Simply the Best
When you are tired of wondering how accurate your digital thermometer is, this is the one to get. We have had this for over a year. It gets its use and with the disposable covers you know you aren’t passing something to your family members. This is also one that is used in clinics all over, so there is trust in that. It is fast and accurate. If you want the best, this is it.

Recommend the 692 over the 690
I recommend the 692 over the 690. At the time we ordered ours there was less than a 20 dollar difference. This one includes the wall mount but even if you don’t think you will use it (we hung ours in a closet so we always know where it is) this one also has a backlit screen. You’d be surprised how often you are checking your child’s temperature in the night and you’d rather not turn on the bright lights. We’ve tried all kinds of thermometers and while this one can vary even a few tenths each time you take it the others were off degrees. Several factors affect the reading like trying to keep the child still. But we found this one to be far more accurate than trying to save money on the cheaper ones. It seems overkill but not detecting a high temperature can be dangerous. The instructions are on a CD which was irritating because there was no paper instruction included even on a quick how to use . I instead did a quick search on their website and found a PDF to download. They aren’t perfectly clear especially for a simple man like me, I still haven’t figured out how to retake a temp other than stick the probe back into the base and start over. This also always starts out in Celsius mode but a simple tap of a button changes to Fahrenheit. The 692 also includes a timer and a security feature which are just a bonus for us since we won’t use those.Overall we feel confident we will know how seriously ill someone is.

    Not bad
I bought one because the NICU used one. It was hard to figure out the settings at first but we like it

    Very Accurate Thermometer
Are you sick and tired of buying multiple different cheap thermometers and they all read different temperatures? I can tell you I most certainly was. For that exact reason I shelled out what most would likely consider to be an obscene amount of money for a thermometer. That being said what you’re getting is a quality product. When doing back-to-back temperature readings I never saw a variance greater than 0.1°. This is as compared to the four other thermometers I own which had variances of anywhere from 0.5° to multiple degrees. If you purchase this thermometer you will not be disappointed.
