Thick, black , nappy , coarse hair – it works
I have been using this 4 weeks now , following the instructions and staying consistent.I bought this to remove the cheek hairs that grow above my bread line . I have really really really thick, coarse beard hair and I usually just tweeze them out because they take longer to grow back. If I shave them they grow back in 1 day. Why I didnât like the tweezing is because itâs time consuming and I wud have ingrown hairs, then most time I try to pluck them the hair breaks and Iâm left with a stubble.I have considered going to a professional, but I assumed it wud be expensive and this just seem cheaper and more convenient.Results-After 4 weeks , I can say that the cheek hairs have significantly been reduced . Usually if I shave them in day 1, by day 2 they already grow back with thick stubbles.I have noticed that I canât see the hairs anymore , when they grow back they are really really thin. When I shave them to use the ulike they shave easily.After 3 days of not using the device , the area is still smooth and I feel no hair when I rub my fingers across . Iâm in the maintenance phase now , where I shud only use 2 times a month . This works for me. My complexion is a shade darker than Drake the rapper .I have notice no irritation- only downside is that I canât use my chemical exfoliation, and retinol serum because they say to use it 1 week after IPL as they will dry out the face .I have oily skin and Iâve notice that for my cheeks I seem to be producing little to no oil from using the IPL. My minor acne scars have seem to improved .I hope this helps for guys/ladies with thick coarse black hair .

Broke after 20 minutes
First time I used it it stopped after 20 minutes and that was it. Thankfully, it did it right away instead of doing it after the 30 days. Their 30 day policy is really crap. Letâs face it most electronics that are breakable donât break in the first 30 days. They need to do something about their policy.

To be honest this actually works. I did half of my body as a test and there was such a legitimate difference. The max setting feels like a true in-office treatment and this significantly lightening my freckles as well.

Comfortable, painless, and easy to use. It has a nice build quality, cooling feature, and design. Plus, it’s great value for money compared to lasering and waxing. I’ve seen over 90% reduction in hair growth and that offers slower hair regrowth!

Ulike X vx Air 10 model
I have been using the Ulike X for two weeks now and I have been able to see a slight difference. I originally had bought the Air10 model and even though I saw a slight hair reduction I was having problems in targeting the areas that have thicker and darker hair. With the Ulike X these areas are easier treat, but it does come with a slighter increase in the pain level. I still believe that the Ulike X is worth it and a lot cheaper than going to a place to get laser hair removal.

I am very pale with light golden brown to very dark brown/black hair, depending on area.Areas treated: armpits and face peach fuzzI have been using this for 2 weeks, every other day, a total of 8 sessions so far. The first two sessions I did on fast, then medium power, to test my tolerance. The next 6 were on high power. The first 5 sessions were 1 pass with the device over each area. The last 3 sessions were done with 3 passes over each area.The face peach fuzz, which I thought would be a problem as it isn’t very dark at all, doesn’t seem to grow back already. I am still going over it with the ulike every other day, but I don’t need to shave it anymore. I have been shaving it off for years to help with skincare, and it usually starts to be fuzzy in 3-4 days, but it hasn’t been coming back at all now.My armpits have very coarse, dark hair. Growth is very fast, stubble the next day after shaving. I do think it is slightly slower to grow and a little more sparse, but I’m not sure about that. The biggest difference I have noticed is how easy it is to shave. The razor doesn’t drag and catch on the hairs anymore. It just glides over and cuts the hairs off. This has drastically improved the irritation I used to get, I get no razor bumps or ingrowns, and that’s shaving them every other day, which would have left them raw and on fire before. I’m hopeful that I will see more changes in the next few weeks, and I will update at that time.The device itself is easy and comfortable to use, and practically painless. Most of the time I feel nothing at all, but occasionally I’ll get a bit of a pinch/rubber band snap feeling, almost like a static shock. The window you press on the skin really is icy cold to the touch, and even as the device gets warmer, that part never does. The part you hold in your hand gets quite warm, but not hot at all. The cooling fans blow gentle warm air too, but nothing uncomfortable.The safety glasses are very dark, and since I can’t wear my regular glasses with them, I’m pretty much working blind. This isn’t really a problem though, you just have to glide the device over the skin and you don’t need to see much for that.So far, results are a big improvement and I’m excited to see how it progresses with more uses! I will update.

2 weeks in so far and it seems like itâs really working! I have been doing it every 2nd day on the highest power setting with no discomfort (the ice cooling seems to work well). My chest and abs have really responded to the treatment quickly. The device is straight forward and easy to use. I would say depending on the body part you are using this on it can be a time commitment (I can get my chest and abs in under 30 min but legs take significantly longer). So far I can say I am pleased with the device.

This product DOES NOT work! Despite months and months following the recommended useage.The device is super heavy as well and you get user fatigue.Majority of the 5* reviews are from customers who were gifted the free product.I have used the Br@*n IPL pro 5 -and that truly does work! I thought I would try the U-like on a different area and like I said -super disappointed that it doesnât work! Hundreds of $ down the drain! I will now be reinvesting in a previously tried, tested and results proven device!Such a waste of money 🙁
