We were impressed with this thermometer. Well packaged. Instruction manual included in English. Uses AAA battery – included, and easy to replace. The backlit display offers good visibility, even in direct sunlight. Magnetic and hook mount built in. The red color is easily identifiable. Good quality and value for the money! Very pleased with this purchase.

After reading the reviews on this prob I just can not figure out what they are doing other than break and or melt them,I have been using this prob for over 3 years now and have not had one issue or complaint about it yet.This is a quality and accurate prob and at a great price.I would highly recommend it for anyone cooking the right way.

Basic thermometer that gets the job done
I use an instant read thermometer daily for anything I cook or bake. I have a great thermometer at my primary home but needed one for my second home. I chose this one because of the ratings and reviews.This thermometer is very lightweight and has a plastic feel to it. It has a magnet for storing on your fridge or other metal surface. That is a very handy feature. The probe is deployed by a button. The probe doesn’t fully extend on its own. It extends about half way. The unit must be turned on manually. The display has a light that lasts for about 10 seconds. The thermometer reads a temp quickly. It does hesitate for a brief second before it starts to read. The probe can only be collapsed by pushing the button. That makes it a two handed process.I have things I like about my primary thermometer such as the probe fully extending with a button push but then easily collapsing just by pushing the probe. That is a one handed job that is convenient when I want to quickly put the thermometer in my apron pocket or set it down until I need it. It also is wider and easier to hold.This thermometer works well. It’s decent quality but it is lightweight plastic. It doesn’t have all the features I’d like to have but it gets the job done. For the price, it’s a good deal. If you are more elevated in cooking, baking and meats then you might want a better thermometer with more features.

Handy Priceless Cooking Tool
This is what I have been missing on my cooking journey! Over the last couple of years, I have really upped my cooking game and have been experimenting with different meats and different ways to cook them. I love this thermometer. Its bright red , simple to use. the display lights up and its accurate. I stick it on my stove top where the knobs are located. Easy to clean the body and tip. My hubs loves his meat to be really well done, me not so much, so I am able to cook mine medium rare and his like charcoal.
