Finally a meat thermometer that works like it should. Easily readable, has a light and the temperature doesnât randomly go blank like the 2 others I have. Stays on Fahrenheit (or Celsius if you prefer) without switching mid reading. It will even hold the reading if you want. Good item.

Great, easy to use product. Quick temp reading. I use this several times a week. A little water got stuck in the display but it dried out after a few days, and did not cause any problems, which made me very happy!

This thermometer works great! It reads the same temperature as my other thermometer. I like how long it is, which allows for ease of use.It has been a little over a year since I purchased and the batteries are dead. I don’t use the thermometer very often (maybe once every 2 months, so I assumed they would last longer. I am not sure if there was an issue with the thermometer not turning off when done or if the batteries only last this long.I am torn between repurchasing this devices or buying a pack of lr44h batteries. The price seems similar.

Favorite thermometer when cooking or smoking meats. The size allows for storage just about anywhere. Easy to read and accurate. Magnet function holds well to most items. Overall durable and functional.

Sensor good, included battery is terrible
The temperature comes up quickly and matches my other thermometers, so the important part works. The battery was dead within a few weeks. I suspect the automatic shutoff is not working properly. The two LR44 batteries tested at just over 1.2V, which is surprisingly high voltage for a “dead” 1.5 battery, especially considering the falloff curve for the LR44 cells. The alkaline battery is pretty terrible anyway with a high risk of leaking, and I’ve replaced with two equivalent silver oxide cells that so far are lasting longer. If these also run down before the Amazon return period it will be returned, because I don’t want to keep replacing batteries almost as expensive as the thermometer itself!

This handy little thermometer has allowed me to cook meat perfectly every time. Originally purchased as a thermometer for candy making, this digital thermometer is so versatile it can be used in a variety of ways- steaks, whole chickens and turkeys, chicken breads, etc. Very well priced, easy to clean and store.
