Accurate
I work in hospitality, so food temperatures are important to me. I bought these because I was sure that my refrigerator was too hot, and my husband said “feels cold to me”- I was right, it wasn’t cold enough and the refrigerator needed a repair. I like having them so I can tell at a glance that the temps are good in my fridge and freezer. The backlight is a nice feature, and they work well. Setup is intuitive.

Works quite well
Our fridge is getting old and we decided we needed thermometers for both the refrigerator and freezer sectionsâespecially since we are subject to PG&E planned power outages. These thermometers work great and give me peace of mind.Easy setup, easy to read, accurate (we have manual thermometers as well), and seem to be built well.

Great for refrigerator (not so much for freezer)
ThermaPro tends to make great products. These are decent as well. As advertised, it will not register below -4 degrees (in which case, I discovered, it just displays “L”) – so only marginally useful in the freezer (except for telling me that the freezer was colder than it needed to be). My main disappointment was that I assumed / hoped that the high/low numbers would automatically account for only the last 24 hours or other specific time frame which is not true. It will keep these high/low values until you manually reset them, which means that you really need to allow each one to reach a normal temp in the fridge before you reset them as the high value will probably be the room temperature when you first put the batteries in. But if you remember to reset these periodically they are extremely useful after a power failure to determine if your food has been compromised.

Great performance at a good price
These thermometers are small and thin, and very accurate. They won’t take up much room in a fridge or freezer. I am going to buy 2 more for our vacation house. I have never been disappointed with any ThermaPro purchase.
