Wonderful product
I have been searching for something that will tame my very wavy grey hair. I’ve tried numerous conditioners, discussed the problem with my hairdresser and was to the point of discouragement. My hairdresser (with 40 years of experience) too was flummoxed. The grey hair (now 60%) was dull, hard to control and less than cooperative even with thinning. But I kept reading product reviews and finally stumbled across the Shea Moisture Conditioner and thought I’d give it a try. I’ve tried so many other products to no avail, what’s one more?To my delight (and my hairdresser’s astonishment) my hair now literally glistens in overhead lights. It’s soft with lovely waves and feels really nice to the touch. I am elated. Not only does the product have a gentle and lovely smell but it’s easy to apply, rinse and has made all the difference in the world with my hair. I’m going through the last bottle of my everyday shampoo and am going to next try one of the Shea shampoo products.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Smells really good and works well to hydrate hair and keep it soft. The only downside is if a clump of it falls in the tub or wall and dries the brown is super visible and hard to scrape off. I always have to use bleach to soften it. It doesnât stain though it just sticks.

Works on all hair types
My hair is long and it not damaged by color or heat – it’s just really long hair, which means its old and needs some extra conditioning and TLC. I don’t even use this as a conditioner – i think that is a waste of what this product is capable of. Using it as a conditioner just rinses it out of your hair before you receive any of the benefits of what is in this product that needs to be left on your hair and scalp. I have thick long hair so I use two pumps after the shower just on my scalp – I work it in against my scalp and 2 pumps is sometimes too much – a little goes a long way. And then I put in 2-4 more pumps for the rest of my hair and I comb my hair and I often times will braid my wet hair and allow it to stay like that for a day (or two) and this works great with just 1 pump in your hair the next day and the day after until you wash again. Watch some curl girl videos on yt or read up on this for curly girls if you have girls. I have a wave to my hair and when I use this on my hair regularly i have spiral curls that I have never had before. Black castor oil is great for a dry itchy scalp, great for any real hair loss/damage. Shea butter is deeply conditioning and hydrating. Apple cider vinegar is also great for the scalp, great as a conditioner and shine boosting agent for your hair. The three work together best when you leave on your hair and scalp (not goops of it – use sparingly) for a few days or at least over night. I don’t wash my hair every day – I have very long hair and wash it about every 3-4 days. I cut my hair three years ago after a lot of heat damage and I have since stopped using a flat iron and I do not blow out my hair – it is very healthy and I think this product makes my hair shine way more than going without it. And it’s nice because everything in this product is natural – using the hair serums that make your hair shiny are great – and usually full of silicones. If you don’t wash your hair every day and you use silicones for shine you will have build up that you can only get off by using sulfate shampoo – that I am allergic to… so I can’t use certain products – and this is the best thing I have found to help my scalp, restore the over all health of my hair from the root, all the way down the shaft to the tip and it helps with frizz control, shine, and hydration. For the price of what you are getting I think this is an amazing deal. Also – if you don’t already put some apple cider vinegar in your water as you drink it – you should. It’s amazingly healthy and my skin is glowing and just add a little wedge of lemon and it’s delicious – weird at first – but you start to crave and it’s great for your gut health.

The SheaMoisture 100% Pure Jamaican Black Castor Oil Conditioner is fantastic!Recently, I dyed my hair which left it dry and brittle. I have since tried different conditioners, but this is the only one that has left my hair actually conditioned, even after the very first use. Other conditioners may have left my hair “feeling” conditioned, but the feeling was due to silicones like dimethicone, which coat the hair, leaving it feeling slick, but prohibit the flow of moisture to the hair causing extreme long term problems like breakage. This conditioner, however, has natural powerful ingredients and an overall formulation that creates healthy results, not just a mirage.I have curly, high porosity hair so generally after I shower, I almost immediately put a leave-in and other moisturizers in my hair. However, today, I couldn’t tend to my hair right after showering so my hair dried a lot before I was able to apply the finishing products. But to my surprise, my hair was still conditioned when I returned to apply the moisturizers. This was all the confirmation I needed.Under its current formulation, this conditioner is a keeper! The ingredients are clean and superb and the effect on my hair is wonderful. I just hope the company does not go the route of many others and degrade the product by adding unnecessary and/or subpar ingredients to its formulation thus making it unusable.Currently…10 out of 5 stars!

As much as I’d like to not put conditioner near my scalp, I have very dry hair, even close to the roots.I guess it’s because of UAE’s very hard water.Given that, I use this conditioner on wash days and I feel my scalp lighter and cleaner and clears out any dandruff I have accumulated before that wash day.
