Good, but not for the purpose intended:
So, i have very fine wavy blonde hair. I have been dying my hair for years though and decided to go back to blonde, which completely ruined my hair. It’s super weak and damaged from the bleach, and has become textured from the hairs being stretched.Initially, I bought this product for heat protection, thinking it might make it safe to use a hair dryer. I am not sure it worked optimally for that. However:Yes as others claimed, after sleeping on my hair it felt kind of oily, but in a way that the lower fldamaged part of my hair wasn’t feizzing or stretching. It was like a lubricant to keep it from frizzing and breaking. It has helped prevent further breakage. When applying, keep in mind that less is going to be more. So, for this reason, I’ll be keeping and using it.

Less is More
When I first tried this product, I didnât like it. It felt greasy and I didnât like how it took longer to dry my hair. I almost returned it, but I decided to give it another try. I thought that it would be better to use less so this time I just barely misted it over my hair and blow dried my hair with a round brush and it feels so silky afterwards. Thatâs the key: less is more.

TOO GREASY
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I watched a video from the Blowout Professor. He tested dozens of heat protectant and this one here protected the most so I quickly ordered. I am extremely disappointed. This made my freshly washed hair look like I hadn’t washed in a week. I tried a second section with a very fine light, quick mist and still greasy. I can’t stand greasy hair so I cannot use this at all, no matter how well it protects. I guess if you have darker, thicker hair maybe it won’t be so greasy and more shiny. This doesnt work for me. Also, some reviewers say this product stinks. I thought it smelled nice. Very faint smell.

Great product!
This product works great! Almost sprays too much at a time so move that bottle across your hair quickly. It does leave a little “smoke” in the air just after spraying, but that makes me feel good knowing that the product is coating my hair well without having to use a ton of product.

It works well, but it leaves my hair feeling oily.
It provides protection and thickness to my hair, but it also makes it oily when applied, making styling difficult.

Good heat protection, but doesn’t check many other boxes.
I purchased this after watching YouTube videos of thermal paper testing on about 30 different heat protectant products. This was by far one of the best performing on the paper test. However, I am giving 3 stars because the bottle says to “spray liberally onto dry hair…” if you do this, your hair is going to look like a big grease ball! I was getting ready for work and didn’t have time to wash it out so I had to use some dry shampoo to soak some of the greasy residue up. I have since used it several more times spraying very lightly onto just the last 4 or so inches of my hair. It has worked better by using less, but it still has a silicon-ish feel and looks wet/oily for several hours. It has some resistance when I use my straightener (my straightener doesn’t run through my hair near as smoothly as without product). It also has a cheap bar of soap smell to it. It may protect hair, but I am still on the hunt for a product that checks the other boxes… texture, residue, dry time, smell.

Works wonders on my hair
Not the best smell but not the worst. I spray it on before I flat iron my hair, I follow up with a product from the same company, it’s called sexy hair smooth sealThat works great too and it smells like the beach! So any scent left behind by this black can goes away after I apply the smoothing spray. Worth the price.not sticky or oily.Doesnt make my hair stiff. Smooths my hair nice and I feel like it really does protect my hair from heat styling.

Superior performance
I have used Redken 22 heat protection spray for years and after seeing a positive review on this sexy hair product I decided to give it a try. I absolutely love it and felt like it did a better job than Redken, so recently I did a side by side comparison and I was right. The sexy hair product eliminated all frizz and didnât leave it crunchy like the Redken product.
