Best I’ve tried!
I was going to wait a few weeks to leave a review, but I’m so happy with this product I decided not to wait! At 61 I’ve been coloring my grays for about 20 years. I have tried every box brand from the cheapest to the pricier brands, and those sold at beauty stores. I tried my best to match my medium brown hair color, but everything in my color range left the roots too dark, almost black for dark browns, or too light for medium natural or ash browns. Some barely covered the grays at all. At this point being about 70 percent gray at the crown area, I thought I was going to have to just let my hair go gray. I stumbled onto this brand and liked the reviews and the fact that the brand has been around a long time. I bought the 4n medium brown and their cover gray developer. I used the 2-1 ratio on roots only for about 50 mins total. It covered the orangy-brown mess the last brand left and completely covered the new gray as well! I’mback to my natural color that I was afraid I’d never see again unless I paid a salon a fortune to have it done!Ater a few shampoos, the color has held up well with no fading. It has a mild pleasant scent, has a nice thick consistency, and left my hair looking shiny and healthy. I am elated to have found this line of products! Ps: it even covered the hard to dye grays in my eyebrows!

It colors very well
I am not a professional hair styler/dresser. My sister is. I asked her for a good product to use (I had been using henna, which she sd was a complete no-no). I use it to color gray. It works well. Easy to use. Again, I eyeball everything and have been using this for about a year now. It works great for me. However, I cannot compare it to any other color treatment besides the no-no henna. I believe maybe once every two – four months (I don’t pay attention to the time) My hair grows fast. It doesn’t fade or become dull or ashy in between touch ups.

Wonderful hair dye color made in Italy
Satin is an excellent hair dye color made in Italy. I love the color shades. It is a permanent color which means it hangs on for about 2 yrs on your hair. However, the roots grow so need to be recolored. Use any Developer Bleach at 10% to put color on without lifting. Ratio is 1 part Satin Color: 2 parts Developer (any strength). You can also blend it with a different shade such as 4N main color with 5C for copper shading, or with 3N for darker roots, or 5N to lighten the medium brown 4N. The higher the number, the lighter the shade. N means Neutral. C means Copper. V means Violet. O means Orange. If your hair is grey, then when color fades due to sun or chlorine pools, the color left on hair will be a shade of Violet, Orange, Copper, etc. If you use Neutral base, it goes back to original grey hair. In other words if you are going grey, stick with a base color of Neutral and add thee other color bases just as a touch not as a main color. An excellent brand, heartily recommend!

Hair feels healthier after using
My stylist recommended this color. They used to sell there. My hair is super fine and very grey. The grey gets coarse. I color and my hair is soft and perfectly colored.
