Roc is great for initial exposure to retinoids!
This is a very honest review of several Roc retinol products starting with this serum. I deliberately waited a good amount of time to write this. Itâs now been approximately 4.5 months since I started using this product as the FIRST retinol product ever. I will be 48 in about 5 weeks. My intent with Roc products was to use them to see how my skin responds to retinoids and to slowly build up tolerance to them before moving to a stronger retinoid. Thatâs what this product and other Roc retinol products have delivered! I will say that it turned out that my skin responds well to retinoids – I have never had sensitive or dry skin. What I do have are genetic under eye circles and bags and allergies that puff my whole eyes up. So now at 48 that is the area I have most issues with.I started using this product at night, then I added the retinol capsules at night and used this in the morning and I am also using the retinol eye cream by Roc and the firming serum stick (these two I am continuing to use now that I have switched to a more potent retinoid product). This may seem like a lot of products but again the goal was to build up tolerance.So 4.5 months in these are my results: my skin is overall firmer, thatâs the biggest difference. Some of the very tiny sunspots are faded and my skin seems to have a little bit more elasticity. The irritation was mild, I do moisturize a lot and again, my skin is not sensitive.I do however know that for more significant improvements I need a stronger retinoid. So as of a few days ago I have started transitioning to retinAL, a more potent retinoid. Another reason for this is that retinAL can be used around the whole eye area. My transition is going flawlessly and I credit Roc retinol products including this serum for that! If you have fewer wrinkles and or are younger than these products may be enough for you, btw, itâs just not so in my case.So I will keep using the eye cream with addition of another one and the firming stick, because they are really nice.In conclusion, Roc products are great for initial introduction to retinoids, or for younger users and they will provide some improvements with consistent use. I would most definitely recommend all of the ones I mentioned here for those two purposes!

I swear by this BRAND altogether, let alone THIS holy grail of a product.TRUST ME when I say that IT WORKS … and … *queue drum roll* … as advertised!This product wonât let you down if you have dry skin (like me) and/or experience fine lines around the eye and mouth areas (also like me).Product smells great. The consistency isnât runny/watery and on the thick side; texture feels more like a cream than a standard serum.Wearable underneath makeup; just ensure itâs âdriedâ/set-in, first.(I usually apply it in the morning before doing a few odds-n-ends getting ready for work)(!) WARNING (!)To each of you beauties that are NEW to using Retinol based products like this, be mindful of a few things (maybe conduct a thorough Google search too to be 1000% sure this product is for you):1.) Retinol works best when used on a regular basis; youâll begin seeing the results as advertised, fastest, when working this product into your daily routine.2.) If itâs tingling â ITâS WORKING! (I experienced this sensation more at the beginning of using this product since my skin had not yet been exposed to a Retinol concentrated product before.)3.) If using during the daytime (and thus, plan on going outside) â SUNSCREEN! SUNSCREEN! SUNSCREEN! â Retinol is known to ATTRACT the sunâs UV rays and can cause the REVERSE EFFECTS if someone is not NOT CAREFUL! Following-up with an application of SPF 50 is a hands-down MUST!!! (SPF 30 is the absolute LOWEST youâd want to âplayâ with. Even then â itâs simply not worth it; JUST GO GET THE 50!)4.) If you have SENSITIVE skin â in ANY capacity â PLEASE â Iâm pretty much begging you â to PLEASE conduct a proper Patch Test prior to slathering this serum all over your face/neck.(I experience sensitivity in sporadic spurts and with this product giving off the tingling sensation [depicted above; #2] during the first few uses, I felt like it was more of a burning-like feeling, than a tingling one. â The burning-like sensation quickly subsided though and was even completely diminished by my 3rd [Day 3] consecutive use. âHOWEVER, I would also like to point out:If I skip/forget/am-too-lazy to apply this product for a few days, once I DO, the tingling [NOT the BURNING] sensation returns [w/ first-day of re-use only]. This happens because all of my fine lines are âdrinking upâ as much of the Retinol in this serum as fast as biologically possible!!!)TAKE-AWAYS:⢠This serum is hands-down amazing! The HIGHLY noticeable results ALONE make this product worth every penny (& for under $25, lets be real, ITâS A STEAL!)⢠I recommend/talk about this product to anyone who compliments me on my skin; Any friend/family member/co-worker who expresses anguish over THEIR skin concerns (e.g., dry skin, fine lines, hyper pigmentation, etc.); & Anyone seeking out a high quality, yet affordable, Retinol product that ACTUALLY WORKS!⢠Checkout this entire line by the ROC brand! Works well dries in 10 minutes but there is an odor to it that lingers. Please no scent addition in the future. Price point is good.

Seems to be working but takes time
I’ve been using this for a little over a month. I’m 40 years old and thankfully I don’t have too many wrinkles yet. My problem area is my forehead because I’m very expressive with my eyes and eyebrows so I have some pretty good wrinkles forming. I started using this twice a day and I’m seeing a little improvement so far. My wrinkles aren’t overly deep luckily and think this product will smooth them out over time. You honestly don’t really need too much of this either so it should last a long time. I did notice that if I use it with my Now toner that it stings a little bit. The only thing I really don’t like about it is the way it smells. I don’t know exactly what it smells like but I don’t really like it. Thankfully the scent doesn’t last once applied. This is definitely worth giving a shot if you have some wrinkles forming.

Got this at a good price. I’ve been using it for years and I really like it. I think it has softened my fine lines. Most people are surprised when they fined out how old I am (67). It isn’t greasy and soaks in my skin fast.

Really does work and turns clock back on fine lines
Iâve been using this for at least three years now and keep it on monthly subscription as it really does work! It keeps my skin smooth and has helped soften my crows feet and 11âs. I use in the morning and avoid getting too close to delicate areas as it can be too drying. As pretty and quality as the container is, I just wish theyâd have a cheaper refill option as it feels so wasteful to throw bottles away each month. In order to use every ounce, I add a few drops of water near the end to use all of it. I get another 3 days or so of use this way.

El producto es bueno si es la primera vez que vas a usar retinol.Pero para tener los efectos del retinol, tienes que saber aplicar estas cremas.Por nada del mundo lo pongas cerca de los ojos ni las comisuras de la boca, el retinol solo se pone en la frente, las mejillas y el menton.Debes aplicar poca cantidad y poner solo en la noche. Se empieza aplicando una noche a la semana, y la siguiente semana dos noches y asi progresivamente.Primero va tu crema humectante, luego el retinol y otra vez crema humectante, y no lo combines con otros acidos.Por favor aprende a ponerte el retinol para que no te dañes la cara, suerte!
