Best shaver for the money, by far.
Purchasing this shaver has filled me with regret. Regret for all the money I’ve wasted on far more expensive shavers that don’t perform half as well as this one does.I have spent upwards of $200 on various other “premium” shavers chasing a decent dry shave. Always I’m left disappointed in the overall lack of closeness of the shave and with how many spots most shavers just can’t seem to cover quite right, regardless of how many passes I make. I almost always end up having to touch up a few spots with a razor, leaving me to wonder why I bothered trying to dry shave in the first place.I had given up on getting a decent shave from an electric shaver, always settling for what they call an SAS, a “socially acceptable shave.” Since dropping tons of money clearly wasn’t helping, this time I did a bit of research on the best budget friendly electric shavers. The Remington F5 was consistently mentioned as a good performer, and it was by far the cheapest, so I figured I’d try it.And now I’m kicking myself in the butt for wasting all that money on more expensive shavers. This one gave me the closest shave I’ve ever gotten from an electric. BY FAR. It also doesn’t seem to have any trouble spots that I have to touch up with a blade. I have relatively sensitive skin, so I was a bit worried about irritation, but this one causes LESS irritation than my last electric that cost me $230. And it’s only $45!The style of cutters that it uses makes it a bit harder to clean with a brush, but running the cutters under warm water does the trick, so that’s a minor inconvenience at best.This shaver is worth every penny of its $45 price, and then some. I hope they keep making these because I will never buy another shaver after this.Absolutely the best shaver for the money, hands down, no contest.

BEST SHAVER EVER!!!!To any reading this I am an African-American male getting ready to depart for basic training on Jan 13th (todays date of this review is Oct 12th) I have always had problems with the usage of regular razors and getting razor bumps. However, being clean shaven is part of the requirements and with the pay and duty requirements for regular enlisted I knew I wouldnt be able to go to the barber every other day to stay smooth.I searched literally for a week before deciding on which particular shaver to buy. I looked at the top expensive models from Braun and Panasonic but couldnt quite bite the bullet cuz of the price tag. After I figured out that I wouldn’t spend more than 100 bucks I started looking at features of each specific razor. Keep reading:The thing that caught my eye about this is the Interceptor Shaving Technology. Basically it has a built in trimmer in between the two foils that will cut hair longer than stubble to stubble length. Every other foil shaver and even rotary shaver I looked at did not have this feature. And even my barber told me that with electric shavers you really have to not let the hair get longer than stubble or else they wont work. This appealed to me as more of a preventative and unique measure but still very beneficialI originally received this razor on Sept 24th and I have been using it for about 2 and a half weeks and have been using it without fail ever since. In my case a couple weeks before I received it I stopped shaving because I had to let my face heal from trying to use a regular razor so I had about a solid 1/16th inch of hair covering my face. I unboxed it, read the instructions, and it took about 8-10 mins but the result was like I had shaven with a razor. I had no whiskers or stray hairs anywhere and my skin felt baby smooth and not irritated!I have been using it ever since without fail and still NO RAZOR BUMPS only baby smooth skin!!It’s cordless so all you have to do is make sure it’s charged before you use it. Some tips:1)Don’t use alot of pressure when shaving.2)DO NOT go in circles or fast. Use deliberate kind of slow straight back-forth up/down side to side motions. This thing has a pivot head that adjusts to the contours of your jawline and neck. After using for a little bit you will notice a sound difference when it is actually cutting vs going over smooth hair free skin3)Make sure your skin is clean and completely dry and not oily4)Make sure you clean after every use. This helps to keep the razors under the foil able to cut like a regular razor5)For supreme results use day and night. I personally, use it at night only but my friend who I recommended this to has facial hair that grows extremely fast so he has to use it more but is still baby smooth and bump free like meI have recommended this to ALL of my friends and think I will purchase another one just in case it ever breaks or whatever. It is that good. LOVE IT!!!!!!

This razor meets all my needs. I needed something to provide a decent shave (face and scalp / head) and it met my expectations. I was also looking for an electric razor that could operate on its battery AND work while plugged in while charging and this does – not many do. My old one didn’t and that was a huge drawback when the batteries stopped holding their charge. This works on 110/220 voltage supply, a Win Win for travel! It’s not too noisy contrary to other reviews I read. It’s a decent size with a good grip and the head is easy to clean, coming with little brushes. I purchased a replacement head / set of blades when purchasing this razor to have on hand as I don’t know how durable or sharp the original set will hold out but so far after daily use for a few weeks it’s holding up great – time will tell. The battery status indicator is great to have and speaking of which, the battery lasts a long time before needing a recharge. I can shave my face daily doing long shaves and not need a recharge for a good week! Overall a great razor. I am very happy with it. The only draw back is it did not come with a travel case, although it does have a protective head cap. I use an old amenity kit from an airline and that works fine but having a small travel case to pack this razor and cord would be worth paying a little extra. Still I highly recommend this razor.
