Helps for our tiny, food obsessed cat
We have a very tiny cat who, at 6.4 lbs, was considered really fat. She has urinary tract issues (congenital) and the urinary tract care medicine was making her gain weight. When we tried to decrease portions, she had major behavioral issues come up because she was so hungry.This product is a lifesaver in combination with other foods.11 am, we give her half a can of the weight management.5pm, we give her 1/8 cup of science diet light 1-6yo in either a rolling treat ball or some sort of puzzle.11 pm, we give her 1/4 can (5.5 oz, not the 3oz) of the purina pro focus urinary tract care.It’s hard to get her to stay still enough on the scale but she’s only had two accidents since switching over and over the past few weeks, she’s been back to playing nonstop with our other cat (and us) and is incredibly snuggly. She’s a super friendly, sweet extroverted cat as is so her being distant is a sign that she’s not feeling well. She does look like she might have less flab behind the elbow where our vet showed us to check since that is a good indicator.With this combination, she’s able to get the urinary tract food care, a very, very low calorie dry food she has to push around or figure out to eat (behavioral stuff–she’s also so smart), and the low calorie weight management food to balance it out by giving her fewer calories while keeping her full. Hoping she’ll get to 6.2 lbs. She’s still obsessed with food and hangs out in the kitchen a lot but she’s not quite as panicked.

a staple for my cat with diabetes
I have a cat with newly-diagnosed, insulin-dependent diabetes. She rejected the food initially recommended by my vet so I tried a variety of types of wet food. She likes this food, at least most of the time. She doesn’t gobble it all up, but eats enough (small portions at a time) that it has become a main food source for her. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the pricing, but I think that is the company since it was a similar price at a couple pet stores I checked.

Helped my cat lose weight
This food worked great to help my cat lose weight- he was 17 lbs and the vet told me it was time to put him on a diet. I switched him to one can of this at night and he’s already lost some weight. He also loves the food and is very excited to eat it every night. I would say my one complaint is sometimes it can be a little thicker and hard to get out of the can, you have to squeeze the can and bang it to get the food out!

Does the job
I donât think my cat likes the flavor but sheâll eat it when she gets hungry, and she is losing weight. I split one can 3 times throughout the day. Itâs enough for 1 cat.

Overall: Have been buying this for my cat for a lengthy period of time without any issues. There are small morsels of turkey (?) Which should not be in pate according to my cat, so these uneaten morsels have to be cleaned up and disposed of and yes, I’ve tried combining this food with more acceptable brands but that doesn’t work. Apparently there are no other objections.
