Better than the original for humidity
Have been using the ouidad line for a couple years and have tried most of the products. This has a much better hold to lock out the frizz than anything else. I live in south Florida where the humidity this time of year is always extreme and thereâs no need to break the curl cast bc just going outside the air breaks it. the regular gel still doesnât hold up to it and my hair would still get big. This one does! I can still let it be voluminous and curly but I can calm it down to loose curls with more of a wavy shape and day 2 still looks great. I use it as a touch up too instead of the touch up gel cream bc that seems to add volume. The featherlight is good too. You do need to use a lot of product but itâs worth it

Strong hold, applies easily. A bit pricey in my opinion, with all the great options on the market. But overall I like it. Curls dried soft and no overwhelming scent. I think it helps with hair/curl health since curls retain more moisture.

Not much hold
This stronger hold gel does not work for my fine, low porosity curls. I had high hopes for this gel as I’ve been unable to get my usual strong hold gel. It gives a decent cast but once I SOTC, my curls go limp. I’ve tried multiple application methods, used less curl cream, used no curl cream, even tried no conditioner, but my curls still go limp. As this is the only new product in my routine, I feel the gel is to blame.However, if I were to style my curls for moisture, I would probably use this gel, as my curls feel amazing.
