I tried the old unscented O’Keeffe’s lip repair back when I was already sold on Working Hands, which is such a unique formulation that actually works better for me than anything else. I was bummed out though because weirdly there was a really odd… cheesy smell to the lip balm (?). Not sure what was up with that but I just threw them away. They worked great actually but with the smell I just couldn’t do it.I saw this recently and KNEW. There’s the one true Ring and there’s the one true Lip Balm, and I’m certain this is it.First it lives up entirely to the brand’s standards and does the same heavy duty work for your lips that Working Hands does for the driest and most painful cracked hands like I used to have. The feel of it is very similar to Working Hands but it melts a bit once ot gets warm from your body heat, which makes it feel more like the usual oil rich lip balms. It gives a subtle healthy hydrated look.My favorite thing about it: it doesn’t come off easily. Even if you’re eating or drinking something it just freaking stays there. You could easily make it through the whole day, and night, with no more than like two or three applications. Four would be a little excessive. Even using it overnight (which is super effective and you should do it), it stays on my lips, which says something because I’m a stomach sleeper with my face mooshed into the pillow.My favorite part… it legitimately smells like smarties candy, cherry candy smell! Not the overused cherry chapstick that’s been around for so long.If you need lip repair then I swear on all that’s good and sweet this will be the one to help you.

This is the absolute best, holy grail, better than anything else, must-have lip balm!My lips have been getting more and more sensitive over the years, and the balms I used to use now make my lips burn and swell–but not this O’Keeffes! The cooling sensation is soothing but not painful, the moisturization is long-lasting and deep without being greasy or slimy, and the balm doesn’t melt in the tube.I miss when I don’t have this, because I like how my lips feel with it on, and they seem to retain moisture after it wears off, because my lips don’t feel super parched and peel-y without it.This really is the perfect (for me) lip balm!
