How long will the color last?

Color Depositing Masks add temporary color that is designed to fade out gradually over time. Color results and longevity also depend on hair porosity, if the hair is virgin (untreated), and how frequently you wash your hair.

How do I expedite the color washout process?

For a total reset, we recommend consulting with your stylist.

Will the mask damage my hair?

No. In fact, it does the opposite. These masks are intensely nourishing treatments. They do not contain ammonia, peroxide or bleach.

Will the mask stain my skin, clothes, or bathroom?

Minimal staining may occur and can be easily removed with soap and water.

Does it cover grey?

No, none of the Color Depositing Mask shades will cover grey.

    Saved my Hair
Let me tell you how this wonderful mask saved my hair and saved me some major embarrassment on a Vegas trip. Note: even good stylists can make mistakes or forget to warn you about potential interactions between treatments.I am naturally a medium/dark brunette but had been getting balayage highlights for years so my hair was almond blonde. I decided to go back to brunette with caramel highlights. My stylist darkened my hair to a medium brunette which was a little lighter than I wanted but it looked fine. The next day I came back for the highlights and keratin treatment and when I left the salon I noticed my hair was even lighter and had a red hue and the highlights looked orange. I knew after the keratin I couldn’t wash for 3 days and couldn’t color for 2 weeks so I thought I would just wait and see what it looked like after I washed my hair, which happened to be the day my husband and I left for a Vegas weekend. After much research I realized that keratin treatments can lift your hair color and mine tends to pull red/orange, oops, I wish my stylist had thought of this and she left a couple days after my treatment for vacation. I ordered this product and a green conditioner to try and temporarily remedy the situation, and after washing on Friday morning my hair had not improved so I tried the green conditioner first to remove the red hue. To my horror, it tinted my hair green. It’s not supposed to do that. I then washed my hair twice with a clarifying sulfate shampoo (not good for keratin but I was desperate) and it didn’t really help. With just a few hours before our flight, I decided to try this product in Coco because I knew it had pigments of yellow, green, and red which would hopefully cover and balance out the green. I sectioned my damp hair and left on for 15 minutes and rinsed. Immediately better but my roots still looked a little orange so I did a shadow root technique, left on for another 15 minute, and rinsed. Omg. My hair looks so much better, smelled nice, and was soft and shiny. My husband, who had seen the green hair and was very skeptical when I told him I could fix it, was shocked when he got home. He loved the color and so did I. It was a tad darker than I expected but still looked very nice and it has been lightening up very slightly with each wash and still looks great. I even had a stranger come up to me in Vegas and compliment my hair color and say she is going back to brunette from blonde and is trying to achieve my exact color. I told her my secret.Anyway, to summarize: this product smells nice, is quick and easy to use, fades nicely, made my hair soft, and gave me a beautiful chocolate brown that my hairdresser couldn’t. Before and after attached.

    Surpassed my expectations!!!
Great product! The cocoa covered some honey colored balaye I had and gave it a really pretty color with a hit of redish undertone. My hair is also SO incredibly soft since I used it. I wet my hair often (4/5 days a week). It’s been a month and the color and softness of my hair remains. Very impressed! Also the size is plenty to last for a while I think.

    Dyed hair must have
If you need a hair mask to keep color refreshed, look no further. I’ve been using this mask for years and I’ve gone through so many different hair colors and it’s always one of my top choices for keeping color fresh and vibrant. It’s very hydrating, and removes all dryness from hair (as someone who swims in a heavily chlorinated pool). A little goes a long way, too; the bottle is huge and will last a while. The product does everything it should, and it always has worked. I’ve used a lot of color refreshing hair masks, and this always will be a favorite.

    Easy and fun!
This is a review of both the rose gold and hibiscus colors. I have salt and pepper hair that is significantly silver and do not color my hair. I know it is said in many places that this does not cover gray hair. I was not trying to cover gray hair solidly and entirely to make it look as if I did not have gray hair, but was hoping for some fun pink highlights and decided to give it a try. I figured if you can’t dye your hair a fun pink color when working remotely in the middle of a pandemic, when can you?I first purchased the trial size packet of rose gold. A lot of reviews mentioned that this packet was not enough for their hair and they needed two packets, so I bought two. However, with hair that goes past my shoulders a bit, I found one packet to be just fine. The one thing that struck me with rose gold was the scent. The perfume smell was totally overwhelming. It was not an unpleasant smell, except in how strong it was. In fact, I noticed that smell in my hair for at least two weeks, even though I was washing it, there always seemed to be some of that smell left behind. The instructions say to leave it on for about 5 to 7 minutes. Based on reviews I decided to leave it on for about 15 minutes. Instructions say to separate your hair into different sections and be really meticulous about application. I couldn’t be bothered with that and honestly treated it like hair conditioner. I showered first and washed my hair, towel dried it, and then applied the mask to damp hair the way I would use conditioner, trying to make sure I coated all sections of my hair reasonably equally. When I went back into the shower to rinse it out, there was significant pink color in the run-off water, but it did not stain the bathtub nor my hands. It made my hair look like a bronzy/brown pink that was very subtle, and I felt I could probably even get away with it in my conservative job. It definitely looked more pink in brighter light and sunshine. The photo with my face blacked out is the rose gold color. I wash my hair about every 3 days since it is very dry, and I could still see it in my hair, even though it was much more faint, after at least 6 washes. Most people who saw my hair complimented me on my purple or lavender hair. Almost no one identified it as being pink, which is fine by me since I would have purchased it in purple if this brand had it. I really liked the color very much, but wanted to try the Hibiscus to see if I could get more punch to the pink color.I then ordered the trial size packet of hibiscus. I applied at the same way as the rose gold and left it on about 25 minutes. I noticed the scent was much less on the hibiscus than rose gold and not overwhelming. I really like how this one came out – see the photo with my hand over my face. it is definitely a much brighter color of pink, and I love how the highlighting changes and is much more interesting with the different contrast of my silver hair versus some of the darker areas. After the first 3 washes it did start to fade, although even after about 8 washes you could still see a slight lavender color, especially out in the sun.The one thing that really surprised me though about hibiscus is that it stained my hands, unlike rose gold. Since rose gold did not stain my hands, it did not occur to me to wear gloves. I ended up having to use an old trick from beet juice on my hands, which was sea salt and lemon juice scrub, to get that crime scene look off my hands, but I still had some pink in between my fingers and around my fingernails for a day. It did not stay in the bathtub, and I was concerned that it might rub off on my white pillowcase, but it also did not stain anything. Some reviews have mentioned how their hair felt really dried out from it, but I find it really moisturizing and I have dry hair. I like very much how it felt and looked after using the mask, and I have since purchased the large tube of hibiscus and colored it again. It’s definitely a fun change, and I like that it is not something permanent that I am stuck with. The Hibiscus did seem to linger for a long time, even very faintly, so if you’re looking for something that will be completely gone, I’m not sure how long that would take, depending on how porous your hair is.

It didn’t quite work for me, I have many gray hairs so I wanted my brown hairs to get slightly darker, but it didn’t make any difference.

Wow just wow! During lockdown with all hairdressers shut I was at a loss with my blonde hair with root and greys 🙁 I took to this product as I had seen a review on it and thought I would get it a go and as pink is my favourite colour I thought why not. I used this product and mixed with my own hair mask, left it on for 20mins and rinsed out. I was amazed with the results! So what started with fun with my hair due to boredom turned out amazing. I have had so many lovely comments off work colleagues, family, friends etc that I feel this is now my new hair look, the pink will stay for now :)The colour fades a little after each wash. I tend to top up every 2 weeks and it brings it back to what it was before. 1 tube lasts me atleast 3 uses and I have long hair. Leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny and healthy. I cannot recommend thus product enough!! I will definitely purchase again and for £28 its a bargain! Cheaper then a trip to the hairdressers!!!

I was a bit sceptical about how this product deal with grey hair, since it’s not hair dye or anything permanent, but after about 4 uses I clearlly see the difference not only in grey hair coverage but also in condition of my locks. I don’t dye my hair and wanted to avoid doing this for as long as I could but recentlly it started to become harder as my greys were more visible. With this product I can condition my hair and works on beautiful coverage at the same time with no side effects of standart colorization. Highly reccomend
