The founder suffered from hyperhidrosis and excessive sweating when he went to see a dermatologist and was prescribed a very strong antiperspirant which was able to control his excessive sweating but the product was very irritating. Shortly after his career started in the medical device world, after consulting with dermatologists and consultants, the founder developed his own formulation of what would become Maxim antiperspirant.
