Lume works, it just does.
If you have been waiting to try Lume, let this be your sign to try it. As a menopausal woman I was having persistent odor in one armpit that kept coming back, immediately after showering almost, no matter what I used… apparently this is a thing when our hormones are shifting and changing. Having cut my ties with anti-perspirant and detoxed from all that aluminum years ago, I was not willing to go back to a traditional combo like that, but all my trusted natural deodorants, even the one I make on my own, were not helping this particular problem. Lume enters the chat… I was hesitant because of the price, but ordered the scent sampler cream deodorants so I could test out all the scents… and WOW, it totally, 100% took the odor away, and lasts 48-72 hours! I decided on my fave scents and ordered this set of Clean Tangerine (my number one pick)… the stick works just as well as the cream. The magic is in the mandelic acid, which does have a weird scent at first in the cream deoderant, but that 100% goes away once it’s on. Here are my favorite scent picks.1. Clean Tangerine, a delicate citrus but really just as it sounds… very clean smelling… not too strong and not too fruity.2. A close second is the Lavender and Sage, only if you love lavender, it is very herby and delicious smelling, a bit stronger than the clean tangerine and heavy on the lavender. I love it.3. Peony Rose, flowery and not too cloying, a bit strong at first but dries down light and floral… very girly.4. Toasted Coconut, many people love this one the most, but for me, I don’t love my armpits smelling like food… it’s very warm and foody, almost more hazelnut creamer smelling to my nose. It does eventually smell like coconut after a few hours.5. Fresh Alpine, I wanted to like this one more, but it reminds me of a typical, sweet, men’s cologne… which I do not mind, it just smells more masculine than I want to smell. It lasted a long time too.6. Cucumber mint… nah, too basic bathroom air freshener smelling for me, and too strong.I did not test the unscented, but that is a great option if you want 0 interference from scents, and the soft powder, because that did not appeal to me at all.

Product Works – But Figure Out Your Fav Scent
This stuff works SO well for body odor. The only reason I tried it was because the inventor is an OB/GYN, and obviously sheâs a genius to come up with this.My brothers and I always joke that âweâre a sweaty peopleâ because we cannot do anything without sweating. This product doesnât prevent sweat (no aluminum), but sweating for a good chunk of the day = odor. And honestly Iâve never found a product that I canât sweat through. I usually carry a tube of old spice and a bottle of perfume everywhere with me.I tested out the cream deodorant by using it in my buttcrack. I had to get a true feel for the effectiveness. After 30 minutes on the stair master the NEXT DAY, I did a swipe before my shower and my butt still smelled like coconut. Gross test, but it doesnât lie.However I do not love the toasted coconut scent. To me, it smells kind of like buttered popcorn and coconut? Itâs fine for underboob/armpit, but that scent with inner thigh/butt use was just gross. Iâm still figuring out my favorite scent, but Iâll never give up on this product.Also – amazing for ingrown hairs. Unlike a lot of other whole body deodorants, Lume has a gentle chemical exfoliant, which helps prevent ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation.As a truly truly sweaty person, this product feels like a miracle.

Great Deodorant Solid – Cream Not so Great
I really like this solid deodorant. It has a lot in the container and it glides on very smoothly. It seems to cover more of my underarm in one swoop than other brands. The smell is also really great. It smells just like the acidified body wash of the same fragrance. I can still smell it when I change after work (9 hours later).What I don’t like is the cream. I like the concept and application ease, but the smell is not good. There is an underlying smell that does not smell fresh and doesn’t make me feel as clean as the solid. It does seem to last a while, but for me that’s not so great since I don’t like the smell of the cream. Next time, I’ll just buy more of the solid.

This stuff really works!
I am a Lume devotee, and this pack is a good option as it’s a couple of dollars cheaper than the individual product price. I like the liquid variety for various non-armpit applications. I find it doesn’t dry exceptionally quickly but it is so good at preventing sweaty odors all over that I don’t mind waiting for it to dry while I’m dressing in the morning. Good skin protection in all kinds of sweaty spots during the summer; no more swampy skin rashes.

A must have for summer; goodbye odors
Being a health care professional, I was skeptical as anyone else that this would work. I had planned to use it on my armpits, under my chest in the summer, as well thigh / groin area. I had my husband try it as well since he sweats more than I do. Unfortunately, get got a rash in his armpits from using this but it was because he had too much moisture. These ARE very moisture-heavy products. They are NOT antiperspirants, only deodorants.However, Lume is an amazing deodorant. Again, my husbandâs armpits need to be studied by scientists for how much sweat they can produce and how stinky they get. Itâs incredible, in the worst way. Even though Lume didnât stop the sweating, the smell went away completely. I seriously, truly, genuinely, did not think it would impact the smell that much, but when you look at the ingredients and realize that the mandelic acid kills bacteria which is what produce the foul smelling compounds, then it makes sense! I wish there was a powder form so we could sprinkle it on his armpits.As for me, I had no issues with the moisture component and I am SO, SO, SO impressed with the ability to rid odors while being gentle on my sensitive skin.Truly a feat of modern science, haha!A must-have for summer time too.

The cream smells of cheese. And that smell does not dissipate. I’m not sure why anyone would want to smell like cheese. It’s supposed to be unscented. Perhaps it’s gone off. The stick is unscented and works well but not perfect. Needs reapplying and does not last three days – although I’ve never tried for three days, it has needed reapplying after a few hours.

This review is based on the body cream itself (the deodorant works great and smells fine) the body cream literally smells sooooo bad ! Like it has mold growing or something. I’m not very picky when it comes to scents BUT this is absolutely TERRIBLE, I should of listened to the other complaints/ reviews that I seen but I was willing to give it a try because sometimes people exaggerate. (I got the tangerine smell one).
