The drill suddenly stops while I’m using it. Is it broken?
Not at all. This nail drill features an overload protection system. If too much pressure is applied or the bit gets stuck, it will pause to protect the motor. Simply reduce pressure or reset, and it will resume normal function.
The drill bit feels loose or wobbly—what should I do?
Ensure the bit is inserted all the way into the handpiece and securely locked in place. Always use 3/32” shank bits for best compatibility and stability.
Can I use this drill while it’s charging?
For safety and optimal battery health, we recommend using the drill only when fully charged and unplugged. However, it can function while charging in case of emergency use.

This Lavinda 35000RPM Electric Nail Drill, is a much better unit than the small hand-held drill I’ve been using. I don’t know if it would qualify as a professional grade, but it feels like it will hold up well for my daughter’s an I home It’s cordless, in that it doesn’t have to be plugged into an outlet, but the nail drill has to be attached to the rechargeable base. The purple color and heart shaped easy-to-read LED readout give it a fun appearance. It comes with a limited number of drill bits (only 6), so if you want to do anything beyond the basics, you’ll need to invest in a larger set. The on/forward/reverse and speed controls are on the battery unit so you don’t have to worry about accidentally changing them when you’re holding the drill. The speed is controlled by twisting the knob and goes up to 35,000 RPM The speed and direction is noted on the LED readout. This feels more powerful than my smaller drill, but there’s an auto-turn off if you put too much force on the spindle/bit. It works well for shaping nails and for taking of the topcoat on your gel polish in preparation for soaking it off. The current price ($53.99 with a $79.99 List Price) is reasonable for this unit as long as it holds up for several years.
