You actually donât need a YouTube tutorial to get a decent result!
Iâm not one to dye my hair. But itâs like Coronavirus Color Challenge since I canât go to the salon.My hair comes in a mousey-blonde naturally, then lightens to almost platinum on its own in the sun. So I usually just get highlights to deal with the darker blonde color at my roots….Itâs been months. I was like whatever, Iâll try something new – itâs not like anyone will see it. Iâve always liked Kelly Osbourneâs hair. I didnât know how to do it without making my hair fall out…so I started with a box dye, One youâd get from CVS and did a whole head color of light/ash blonde. I didnât bleach it…too scared. The box dye lightened me up a bit, but the roots looked orange-brassy.Still feeling a mess…I decided to go for the pink look. I saw the reviews and pics for this product and was like âmeh, this will washout.â Why not!?I DID put it everywhere the first time, following the instructions to apply it to wet hair. It was easy to apply, itâs just like a conditioning mask texture. Doesnât drip. Kindaâ idiot proof that way. Anyhow, it produced a nice light color – not quite as bold as I thought – but I enjoyed it and my hair was soft and various colors of pink. I did it! Gold star!Then I got greedy for more cowbell! …I mean pink. So I took everyoneâs advice and ran through that process again – wet hair, rinse, and blow dry. Not bad! It looked a TAD darker and I was pleased.Honestly, I donât have thick hair or much of it but I suck at getting ALL my hair covered with the conditioner and I had blotches. I could use a friend to get that stuff everywhere. I did use a comb throughout application. Iâm not patient enough to apply it differently in certain areas and blah blah blah So…yeah thatâs why itâs blotchy. My fault. But it does comb through nicely without tangling – if your worried about your hair being a tumbleweed, thatâs not gonnaâ happen.Ok Ok …Scrooge McDucked it the next morning because when I woke up the next day, I put a room full of coins you can dive in amount of it on my DRY hair. I let it sit for probably an hour. Mind you, despite having naturally blonde/light hair (and since I didnât bleach it) nothing really tends to âsticksâ to my hair very well. Even permanent dye from the salon washes out of my hair in a few days!Anyway! These pics are from the rinse off after the DRY application. By the way, the bottle is huge-or a little goes a long way. I think doing this 3 times on my full head of hair I probably still have 75% of the bottle left.Also, It doesnât smell heinous. Actually, itâs got an enjoyable maybe sweet-floral sent. HOWEVER, You WILL get a little âburnâ if you let it touch your face/forehead for a tad too long. Oops! It goes away quickly.And yes, will also get pink hands if youâre like me and take like an hour to get the stuff in your hair. I just used a magic eraser and some alcohol/nail polish and warm soap and water and it came right off.Again, My hair is still very soft. In fact, I would say since using this, my fine hair has had fewer and fewer little rats-nest tangles in it from just daily wear (wind, chores, lipstick getting in it – cement last week – look, I said Iâm a mess).Iâve gotten a lot of compliments on my hair with this, since I sent pics of it to my pals who actually wouldnât have seen it if it sucked because Coronavirus! Yay!It seems like it will rinse out within a month – for me – probably much sooner. But as it rinses out, it also seems like it will look decent – maybe NOT a mess. If itâs kindaâ meh, I was thinking of trying a peachy color.Final note: even if youâre not one of those people that are good with hair and makeup and girl-stuff, you CAN manage this. Itâs just like a regular conditioner youâd have in your shower – except it dyes your hair. Also, I didnât find it stained my sink or shower. I donât even think it stained the little âhair towel turbanâ I used to flip it up when I let it sit. Maybe slightly pink? No more than if a brush full of makeup fell on it. (Yes FULL of makeup – I usually look like Harley Quinn when I âtryâ makeup so…yeh, a brush full). Itâll prolly wash out, though!So, yeah. Donât be a mess. Even if you are a mess…you should try this. You wonât MAKE a mess; youâll look cool? I donât know…can you pull off pink when youâre almost 40? Whatever – you might have a moment of clarity about covid-coloring your hair and your coolness or lack thereof as correlated to age …maybe profession. Prolly shouldnât have done this before a job interview…meh, color cabin fever, what can you do?Iâm glad I took a chance and put the effort in! Do it up, itâs fun! ^_^

I hope this review is helpful! I was once a trained hairstylist although itâs been a long time since I have been in the industry as Iâve been raising my family, however, I do have a good understanding of the different color options and how they work. This would definitely be something in the semi-permanent realm. I remember using a similar product as a child but this is way better! So- a little background: I have a natural color at a level 6 (which is a light brunette) and in the summer, certain pieces will naturally lighten to more of a 7 (dark blonde) and I also have just a small amount of very subtle highlighting in through the ends that I had put in at a salon to give my hair a little dimension but for the most part, my hair is virgin (not color treated) and fairly mousey. In the summer it pulls a little golden but in winter my roots seem pretty dull. (I live in northern Minnesota) I do have auburn hints but it needs sunlight to really see it. ANYWAY- I wanted something I could use to just give a little bit of life and interest to my hair but that is not super high maintenance as I do not have the means to visit a salon all the time. I purchased the copper conditioner since I already have red-head vibes with fair skin and freckles. I LOVE IT so far! As a semi-permanent color, it will not turn your hair the exact color of the product (as in, it will not remove any of your current pigment as a lightener or permanent color will) but simply add the pigment to your existing hair. (Think of it like a stain) If you are light blonde, I am guessing it would make your hair VERY orange over time using it but if you have very dark or black hair, itâs unlikely to show at all. For me, my level 6 brown at my roots did not show much difference- just a very very slight orange hue- but my level 7 dark blonde ends from highlights and sun bleaching turned a very natural looking coppery orange. I wanted it to be fairly subtle and it is that! For this first time, I applied to dry hair as recommended and let sit for a bit while I took a soak in my tub- then I rinsed it out and shampooed as normal. I canât speak yet to how long it lasts but from what I know of similar products, I should likely just be able to use the conditioner as an actual conditioner every few showers to maintain as bright of an effect as I wish or else just wash several times for the color to fade altogether if I want. I just applied my first round but it smells fine and my hair is soft and manageable. I like it a lot! This seems like a great way for someone with my hair type to add a little bit of life and flare without hardly any effort. I canât wait to curl it tomorrow and see the pretty copper tones working through the ends! Highly recommend for light brunette to dark blondes! – I will mention that I did apply with gloves but I didnât get much staining on my hairline or shower so Iâm not sure if it was really necessary.

It does the job
It arrived neatly wrapped with no damages or leaks. The product has a nice smell. I applied it to dry hair and let sit for about 20-30 mins then rinsed it off. My hair felt soft and smooth as if using conditioner afterwards and was easily brushed. Some spots i could’ve applied more but I missed it. But now my hair has a beautiful blue ombre to it. My hair was already blue and I bought this to help keep up the color. So far the color scheme seems to be accurate, it’s a bit vibrant in color, I like all the colors in the scheme so I have no plans to how often or not I’ll be washing this in to get a desired hue.Overall, I like it and it works. No staining of the tub when rinsing, no foul smells, no allergic reactions (so far).

I’ve been using the Keracolor Color + Clenditioner 3-in-1 in platinum, and I can’t say enough good things about it! First off, it’s incredibly convenient as both a cleanser and a conditioner in one product. It leaves my hair feeling unbelievably soft, almost like I’ve just stepped out of a salon treatment.The formula does a fantastic job of not only cleaning my hair but also infusing it with moisture, which is a huge plus for anyone with dry or damaged hair. This product is small but it works. I bought it because I couldn’t find the hair colour I buy in stock anywhere (Splat). I wanted to try the purple karacolour as that is or was rather my hair colour. But that colour was not in stock either. My hair was faded pink as the purple splat turns pink when it fades. So I figured blue and pink make purple. It is not the intense same shade of purple as it was afrer only two 3 minute uses. But is instead more of a pastel indigo, I am happy with it.

My professional hairdresser said âI donât normally recommend store-bought hair products, but I recommend this one.ââ I use it like conditioner and leave it in my hair 5-15 mins once a week. It leaves my hair shiny and gives the colour a vibrant boost between hair colouring appts.

If you are a natural brunette and struggling to embrace going grey, this review is for youâ¦.It can be a particularly difficult journey to transition to grey when you are a brunette (vs blonde). I have tried and failed so many times over the last 5 years. I tried 1) going platinum blonde, 2) trying to maintain blonde at home in the pandemic and accidentally frying my hair (!), 3) having to chop all my hair off after frying my hair (!!), 4) accepting the inevitable and embracing my new salt and pepper hair, but 5) changing my mind when I became a grandmother for the first time (it was a bit too much at once!) and applying a box of apparently temporary âsemi permanent wash-outâ brown hair dye, only to then find out it does not EVER wash out, even after trying every method under the sun to remove the colour, to then 6) FINALLY conceding defeat forever (or so I thought) and growing my grey hair in – albeit at a snail-like pace – over the past year and a half.But after all these ups and downs, in my heart I was still yearning to find a solution because I feel 20 years older than I am when I look in the mirror. I support all women who choose to embrace their grey and age gracefully, as well as those who choose to maintain their hair dye. Itâs a very personal choice. I wish I was courageous enough to fully embrace my grey hair, and I will one day, but Iâm not there yet. Even though Iâm 49 this month, I still feel young and when I look at myself in the mirror I cannot reconcile the old woman looking back at me! Also, I am trying to make up for many years I have lost due to chronic pain preventing me from living life to the fullest.I provide this context because I struggled for YEARS to figure out a way to easily hide my greying brunette hairs without the need for constant hair dye and root touch ups. I lost so much hair length due to the number of times I had to âstart overâ after all the above failed attempts. With this in mind, I am so incredibly grateful I found this holy grail of a product. After just one treatment, I feel like my younger self again! And the results will get better with repeated applications. For my first treatment, after researching the best strategy on YouTube, I applied a liberal amount of the Mocha to my dry hair for 40 minutes, covered my head in glad wrap for good measure, and prayed to the hair gods that this stuff is the real deal that others claim it to beâ¦. If youâre a middle aged female, youâll be familiar with that anticipatory nervous excitement you get when a timer finally goes off and you step in the shower to wash out a new hair dye. Youâre rinsing the dye out and wondering, with hope, just how amazing (or not) your hair is going to be when you step out and look in your mirror. Today, I finally took these steps and when I looked in the mirror I was gobsmacked at how amazing my hair not only looked, but felt! And this is just my first application. I can only imagine how amazing my hair is going to look and feel after repeated treatments!!The very first thing I did when I got out of the bathroom was order another bottle of this magical Clenditioner. I very, very rarely write reviews, but this product is so incredible that I have to write this in the hope that if this helps just one woman out there like me, then I have shared a bit of good in this crazy, messed-up world. So do yourself a favour and give it a try. I might even buy a few different colours so I can mix it up. But please donât rush out and buy all the Mocha because I need this stuff in my life!Ps. Re the reviews stating it didnât work on grey hair – it DOES work if you use the right method. Apply generously to DRY hair, leave it on under glad wrap for 40 minutes for your first application (but no more due to risk of allergic reaction), and repeat the process daily until you get the desired level of intensity and coverage.Update: After four sessions of colouring both dry and in the shower, the hue is more of a really dark grey with a tinge of purple, but Iâm getting comments from people about how much they love my hair! So even though itâs not as brown as it was after my first use, Iâll definitely keep on using it and may even branch out to our colours. Iâm thinking of trying Merlot next.

Used alone this âshampooâ yields a reddish tinge. But when mixed with the vivid blue it gives me varied shades of violets ⦠pretty fun to play with it on my bleached hair. Not so absorbent on natural grey hair though
