Great Product, Great Value
I have only had this thermometer for a short time, so I cannot comment on its long term reliability, but the 2 that I purchased have passed my testing and work flawlessly. I was impressed with the solid construction and the many features of this product. I particularly like the auto on feature that starts operation when the folding stainless probe is moved a short distance from the stored position. Power also comes on when the remote cable probe is plugged in. Switching from F to C is accomplished by holding down the appropriate button for a few seconds. That same button turns on the backlight with a momentary push. The second front button, (HOLD/CAL) controls the display hold function with a momentary press, or a long press allows calibration mode to begin. Speaking of displays, this one is clear and LARGE. There is also a small button on the rear that allows an alarm temperature to be set so that this handy device can let you know when a desired temperature is reached. (The alarm temp. is set by holding down the rear alarm button, then pushing the C/F front button to increase, or the HOLD/CAL front button to decrease the displayed alarm value).The low price and all the features make this device an outstanding value. The stainless jacketed remote probe is alone worth what I paid for the thermometer. It is one of those “feel good” purchases that puts a smile on your face when you use it.

Great little thermometer
This little thermometer is so handy. I used it today, in my smoker, and it worked exactly as expected. the “auto on/off” feature is awesome. It also has a timer, which seemed to work well and there is an alarm. And the price was great!

Fast and Accurate
I used this to monitor the temperature of my food while cooking to get the perfect result. It is very fast and accurate. It is large and easy to use. I did not try the plug in probe yet but I will need that soon. I like the magnet to attach to my grill leg while monitoring meat while its cooking.
