High Quality Omega 3 that’s Easy to Swallow, No Aftertaste
I recently purchased the Igennus Ultra Pure Omega softgels, and I’m really impressed. The pills are easy to swallow, with no fishy aftertaste or burps, which is a huge plus. The high EPA & DHA content (1000mg) feels like a solid boost for heart and brain health. I also appreciate the IFOS certification. Everything is right, but apparently I’m not so great at swallowing this pill.
I’m sure these pills are great for what they do, I trust the company and they seem to have every supplement in the right forms. I was very happy to find a company that seemingly does it all correctly in according with the latest science.The only reason I rated this a 2, is because I spent the last few minutes choking on a pill. It’s certainly a me problem, but I was fighting for my life against a damn fish oil pill, it would have been the dumbest death in the pursuit of health imaginable. I wanted to rate it a 1 vindictively, but I decided that would be excessive when it’s really just a me a problem, still, 2s the best I can do.Edit – I’ve decided to give it the 5 stars it deserves, time wounds all heals as they say. Now I sip some protein shake, chew the pill, and swallow without the threat of death. I don’t know objectively how well the pill works, who can ever actually tell? But scientifically, igennus tends to do everything right so I trust them.

Easy to swallow, my top ranked Omega 3, and here’s why.
Omega 3 from fish is an extremely important compound. This brand seems to check the boxes for me. I’d like to share with you why I feel this is one of the top Omega 3’s. First, it’s a re-esterified triglyceride. Ester-forms of Omega 3 are OK but clinical trials, especially in us older people, indicate about a 30% reduction in absorption, compared to the triglyceride form, which takes more processing. Also, shelf life of triglyceride Omega 3 is longer than the ester form. I look at the percentage of EPA and DHA compounds to the total amount of fish oil. The higher the percentage, the more concentrated it is. This one is around 90%, and I haven’t seen any higher percentages in other brands. They also add a natural compound to protect from oxidation. FYI, I always refrigerate and the bottle until I need more softgels, which greatly increases shelf life and “freshness” of the Omega 3. I also like the size and “slipperiness” of the gelcaps, making them easier to swallow than the larger gelcaps. I also like the 2-1 ratio of DHA to EPA, as this is optimal for several brain and cardiovascular functions. Lastly, the price point is good. Any Omega 3 is better than not taking it, as the benefits outlined in numerous clinical studies, including National Institute of Health, are staggering.

Easy to swallow, no aftertaste, deceptive advertising
First, I didn’t check the product description closely enough and I think it was a little deceptive. It says 1000 mg 180 softgels. Great! That’s a lot for the price. But then the product labeling says that you need to take two of the softgels to get 1000 mg. Grrr. So this ends up about the same price as other similar products on a mg basis, give or take. I’m taking off a star for the deceptive advertising.However, these are easy to swallow and they have no aftertaste. So all in all they are okay for what I need.

Amazon is replete with different Fish Oil Products. A lot of them are very well priced, but most people don’t understand about Molecular Forms of Fish Oil, and how different they are.95% of all Fish Oil Sold online is EE (Ethyl Esther) Form. Its, by far, the cheapest and lowest absorption fish oil on the market. (only TG (Triglyceride) and rTG (Re-Esterified Triglyceride), which is this Fish Oil, is the best absorption fish oil.rTG absorbs ~90%â100%,TG absorbs ~70â80%,EE absorbs ~20â50% (or ~60% with fatty food).So for best absorption, take rTG Fish Oil. It’s the best formulation on the market.
