Drawing Salve- super effective and easy to use
I purchased this product because I got bit by a tick. Although I took antibiotics, it got super infected and I put this salve on the bite everyday for weeks. It helped draw out whatever was happening, and is also a GREAT option for bug bites overall. My youngest is really sensitive to mosquitoe bites and her skin will swell into a massive 2 inch bump and ulcerate. This product has helped relieve the pain and also draw out whatever bad stuff. It smells just a little, but more on the herby side (obviously) and really isnât terrible! Easy to use, weâre fans!

Works Great
This salve works great, it has a slight burnt odor but like I said slight. It is a thick paste which some may find difficult to put on. But, you only need a little and it needs to be thick so it can draw out the splinter or pimple or even ease the itch of a bug bite. I would love to see an option for a larger size for larger families but you really only need a small amount and so far after using multiple times I’ve only created one little dip in the surface of the product. I will buy again.

Works Great â Just Be Ready for the Smell
I personally use Hylandâs PRID Drawing Salve to help with facial ingrown hairs and acne flare-ups. It works really well for drawing things out and calming irritation. Iâve noticed a clear improvement when I use it overnight on problem spots.That said, the salve does have a very distinct and somewhat unpleasant smell when first appliedâdefinitely something to get used to. Itâs also pretty gooey in texture, but Iâm confident that stickiness contributes to how effective it is. Overall, itâs a solid product that I keep on hand, just not the most pleasant to apply. Still, the results make it worth it.

Works Like Old Fashioned Drawing Salve but Doesnât Smell Bad
Hylandâs PRID (Pain Relief & Irritant Drawing Salve) worked really well on the three mosquito bites I acquired in the church parking lot this morning. By the time we got back home, they were itching like crazy, and I had scratched their tops off. I rubbed a little dab of PRID on each bite and had almost instant relief. The best thing was that the salve didnât leave black goo under my fingernails or smell awful like the old ichthammol ointment I remember using as a child. It does have ichthammol and sulfur listed as active ingredients, but their smell is overpowered by the scent of the pain-relieving botanicals — arnica, calendula and echinacea, and it fades quickly. I expect to put it to good use this summer on splinters and ant bites acquired while gardening, and I plan to order another tin to keep in the car.

Didn’t Work for Me
This didn’t work for me. I have an ingrown hair I was hoping it would draw out, but no luck. It did work ok as a healing salve, but the drawing part just wasn’t there for me. It also has a strong smell and is super sticky and hard to get off of your fingers. I recommend using a q tip for application.

I hade a large boil in a painful area. I thought I was going to need to get it lanced. I put this on in the evening and it was gone by the next afternoon! I canât even believe. This stuff is amazing. I bought this to have on had if I ever needed it for my chickens, never thought Iâd need it for myself. It works on mosquito and horse fly bites too!!

Actually works!
Iâve had a small spot for a couple years which I thought was a stubborn pimple. Iâve tried different creams, patches, etc to no avail. I put this on and covered with a bandaid then removed after about an hour. Out pops a hair, it was an ingrown hair! Iâve been prodding at that spot for YEARS with absolutely no success. A few more treatments and now the spot is gone. This product is great, affordable and minimal smell.
