Customers say
Customers find the toner cartridge works flawlessly, is easy to install, and appreciate its genuine Samsung quality and good price point. The print quality and longevity receive mixed feedback – while some praise the print quality and say it lasts a long time, others report fading prints within a month and cartridges lasting only 1,000 pages. The page yield is also mixed, with some reporting 3,000 pages while others say they don’t get the advertised 3,000 pages.

How not to get burned
Having worked for Samsung, as well as HP and the other printer companies, I was trained to discourage customers from ever using refilled (so-called “compatible”) ink cartridges. If for no other reason than the fact that ink is where those companies make most of their money. Of course that’s not the only reason. More often than not those no-name refills can be junk, literally destroying your printer.I don’t work for those companies anymore and don’t have any party line to promote and the time came for me to buy a replacement toner for my Samsung laser printer. Of course Samsung doesn’t make printers anymore (the truth is they never did, their printers were made using Canon components, the same company who makes the components for HP, who now owns Samsung’s printer brand). The ink sellers know all this and try to charge unrealistic prices for ink with the Samsung name on it, so you have to shop very carefully. It hurts when they try to charge me twice as much for the ink as I paid to buy the printer just last year. But yet I know that the biggest misconception people have about printers is worrying about how much the ink cartridge costs and not about how much it will cost them for each page they print. And that’s why I choose this one – at 48 bucks for the extra large toner it has an estimated yield of 3000 pages. That’s about 1.6 cents per printed page. I can’t see risking my printer to some no-name refill to save a fraction of a cent or sacrificing print quality either. As I already mentioned I advise shopping carefully, not only for price but for who fulfills your order. On the day I bought this there were 15 different companies selling the exact same thing. Some have excellent reputations and some just the opposite. If you are a Prime member set your filter to only see those. And when you get it, before you even open it, look for the holographic stamp on the box that certifies that it is genuine. Plus, don’t accept it unless it is factory sealed.

A genuine OEM Printer cartridge
I got over three years from the printer cartridge that came with it. This HP Samsung part installed easy peasy and made it work just like new.I don’t know how often this happens. But my spouse had ordered a twin pack of remanufactured cartridges that listed the exact model number of our Samsung M2825DW printer. They were insanely cheap. But sadly, neither one worked. Although they fit into the printer, they both displayed a red bar and refused to print. I tried removing and re-seating the cartridges (of course I removed the orange plastic cover). I also tried unplugging the device to reset the printer system, but to no avail. For laughs, I uninstalled and reinstalled, then update the printer software. Still no go. Both cartridges are a miss. The second time, I ordered the real deal from Amazon, an HP Samsung MLT-D116L. I am now a happy printing fool of a nerd.

Perfect fit
This OEM toner cartridge fit my Samsung 2835 series printer perfectly, very quick replacement and short priming cycle and it was back in business. Will buy another to have on hand for a spare and delay the inevitable downgrade that will come from HP branded parts. In a long list of horrible printers stretching back to the 80s, this Samsung printer is the best I’ve had, it’s been a bulletproof workhouse so I treat it to OEM parts as long as they’re available.

Authentic Samsung cartridge completely factory-sealed.
Toner and ink are overpriced so many times it’s better to just buy a new printer. This seller not only sent an authentic, genuine, factory-sealed D116L high yield cartridge, but saved me a great deal of money compared to buying this D116L at a local large electronics and office supply store. So no need to buy a new printer this time.Wish Samsung’s cartridges would print darker, but have tried generic cartridges and they printed even lighter, so will stick with Samsung branded toner cartridges.

Works better than the copies
This is much better than the cheaper “alike” products that I tried and had to return. Works really well with my Samsung M283x. I won’t settle for less now.

The Real McCoy is Expensive but far more Reliable than Generic
OK, I hate buying any printer manufacturer’s grossly overpriced OEM toner cartridges. It is so much nicer to buy a generic cartridge for 70% less…but how often do you find a generic cartridge that works well?Pros:1. The genuine Samsung toner cartridge never fails to work in my Samsung laser printer. However, generic cartridges usually fail.2. The print quality of genuine Samsung ink is usually superior to generic ink.CONS: Expensive. Expensive. Expensive. The VERDICT is: I will continue to buy genuine Samsung cartridges…because I have never found a reliable generic cartridge that consistently works well.

The “Bunny” of toner cartridges – keeps going, and going
I bought this cartridge at least a year ago. I print 10-20 pages a week, and toner level shows 66% still left. The original std Samsung capacity cartridge went about a year, so it appears the hi-cap cartridge is delivering as promised, and for about half the cost of one set of ink jet cartridges (of which several would be required). Replacement was drop-in easy, with no powdery mess. If you have a compatible Samsung printer, this cartridge is a no-brainer.

Works Great!
I tried using one of the non-brand toners for my Samsung printer, and although it worked for awhile, it stopped printing anything but smudges once I got down to 10% remaining. Found this original Samsung toner on Amazon for a wonderful price and am so glad – works perfectly and I’m sure it will work that way until it’s more than at 0% remaining (as my last Samsung one did). Will definitely order this again from Amazon.
