Compact thermometer with a loud beep
This Healthwise Digital Thermometer is a little smaller than other thermometers I’ve used. But, it beeps very loudly, so it’s easy to hear. It seems to be fairly accurate and gives a consistent reading. It comes with an LR41 battery which is replaceable by removing the blue cap on the end. If you have kids or pets, you may want to note that the cap comes off pretty easily. Five probe covers and a clear plastic storage case are also included.

Less error
After the flu went through my house recently, I realized I needed a backup thermometer. These no touch ones for the forehead are too finicky and sometimes are completely inaccurate.This thermometer is a fraction of the cost of the more fancy ones but it does seem to be more accurate more often. It has taken my kids some time to get used to it which is funny considering this is all we had growing up. This is absolutely a staple in our house now and lives in my kitchen drawer for quick access. I am pleased with this little thermometer and itâs helped during these more germ ridden months.

Works well
This internal temp thermometer from Healthwise works well, as expected, and is easy to use. Just remove the film from the reading window, press the button, and insert the thermometer head. Thirty seconds seems long when compared to more expensive units but it is still faster than glass thermometers and the results are much easier to read.I ordered this when the battery died on my spare thermometer and I realized I only had one on hand. I like having more than one in the event that more than one person is sick at the same time so the thermometer doesn’t need to be shared. This unit does come with disposal covers, though, which can really help with that. The head of the thermometer goes inside the sleeve before it’s inserted, that way you can take temps from different people without having to worry about passing germs. Of course you can clean in between, but still I worry that I haven’t done a good enough job, which is why I like having more than one. Having the disposable sleeves eliminates the need for more than one though I still like having a spare.

Simple and reliable thermometer
This digital thermometer does exactly what itâs supposed to without any issues. It provides an accurate reading, but it does take about 30 seconds, which is slower compared to a forehead thermometer. That said, itâs still a solid choice for a basic and affordable option.The design is straightforward, and the included storage case keeps it clean when not in use. It also comes with probe covers for added hygiene. The fever indicator is a useful feature, making it easy to tell if the temperature is in a concerning range.If youâre looking for a no-frills thermometer that works well, this one gets the job done. Just keep in mind that itâs not as fast as some other types.

Count not change over from centigrade reading, and then, it quit working.

Beeping feature
Upon testing out this theromoter I discovered that once it completes the temperature it beeps for about 10 seconds, which is a nice feature, but the display fails with each beep then the numbers flash back on again. If not read before the beeping stops the screen turns off. The screen does not seem stable. Also, the battery door doesn’t click in place so it falls off easily. That said.It did read the temperature after around 30 seconds – as advertised. It also comes with sleeves for easy clean up and a plastic case.

Simple to use, does its job
The Healthwise digital thermometer arrived as described and when I used it, it worked perfectly. I love that it has a few probe covers included. The manual is very thorough, and if I didn’t already know how to use a thermometer orally then the included instructions and diagram would have taught me all I needed to know to do it correctly. (It also includes instructions for underarm and posterior use, though — understandably — there is only a diagram for the underarm instructions.)The manual includes an order form for replacement probe covers, but any regular probe covers should work on this thermometer. This is a great choice for a simple, classic digital thermometer.
