Smooth, great taste, with a kick of spice
Love this product. By far my favorite. Great taste and no clumps in a shaker. Very smooth. Has a slight cayenne pepper after taste but it’s a great add to boost metabolism. The taste is not overpowering but lingers. I enjoy it but it might not be for everyone.

Why is it spicy?!
I read the reviews and was worried about the spicy taste but I thought I’d give it a chance since the stuff I usually get was out of stock. I make smoothies with fruit and orange juice and that did not cover the spice. I ended up not finishing the smoothie because of it. It’s not terrible- but if you have a sensitive stomach I wouldn’t recommend.

Spicy!!!!!
This is terrible!! Itâs my bad that I didn’t do more research before I bought it. The flavor is spicy! Like the cayenne pepper is very strong. If youâre okay with that then go ahead, but itâs like spicy vanilla. Sorry, but itâs yuck!

Bad idea
Cayenne pepper in vanilla whey is a really bad idea. My mouth was on fire. Not a good combo.

High quality, effective and taste great
First off, this whey protein powder tastes amazing. It has a vanilla forward flavor and is really creamy. Even when mixed with water, it tasted like a milkshake. With milk it tastes even better! It mixes in well without any clumping and very little effort. Even better is it contains 20g of protein per serving and is Third-Party Certified Non GMO, which is a must for me. I highly recommend this protein powder, and I’m making the switch. Garden of Life is my new go-to protein powder and is a trusted brand.

Weird, but not bad
This is a relatively low-calorie protein supplement. It has a nice vanilla flavor, and is sweetened with stevia. That’s nice, because you’re only getting calories from the protein and other ingredients, not from a bunch of sugar. Most protein powder is powdery, like talc, but this is a little more granular, like a drink (Tang, or similar) mix would be. It dissolves just fine in liquid. I use mine with some other vitamin and collagen supplements and make a smoothie with kiefer. This powder dissolves just fine. What’s weird, though, is that it’s spicy. Yes. Spicy. Like a hot pepper spicy. Don’t get me wrong; the flavor is vanilla and it tastes just fine. What is not really obvious before you read the label carefully, is that it contains cayenne pepper. The advertising just says “Our additional ingredients pack a punch with the Studied blend of Capsimax to kickstart your metabolism”. It doesn’t tell you that “capsimax” is apparently just cayenne. So I’m sitting here enjoying my orange vanilla smoothie, and all of a sudden notice that my mouth and throat are burning and feeling heat. It doesn’t taste like cayenne pepper or anything. The taste is just fine, stevia-sweetened vanilla, but it’s spicy.Kind of weird. Not off-putting, really, but it does take some getting used to.I guess the cayenne is supposed to boost up your metabolism or something. I wouldn’t mind if they made it more obvious that it was there, but it’s not bad. Just weird.I will say this, I really do think that they need to be more obvious about the fact that the cayenne is in there. It doesn’t bother me, but if my wife had made a glass for herself and drunk it, she’d have been up all night with acid reflux. Some people are really sensitive to this, and they should be more clear on their packaging. If it’s such a great feature that they have “studied”, and it gives your metabolism some help, then they should be up front about its inclusion, not try to sneak it in as “capsimax”. That seems a little disingenuous. So, as a protein powder I’ll give them 4 stars, but for the shady labeling, I’m only giving them 3.

Tastes great, easy to use, full of good ingredients.
This protein powder is great. The taste is a nice vanilla, but not overly sweet. And it isn’t filled with tons of added sugars and flavorings. It’s also low in calories. The first time I used it I thought I was crazy because it had a bit of a spicy aftertaste. But then I saw it has cayenne in the ingredients, so that’s what it is. It’s not overwhelming, just a little bit of spice, so just be aware of that.If you just put it in a shaker bottle, it can still sometimes be a little clumpy, but not bad. When I use a little blender to mix it, it makes it incredibly foamy. I honestly think it helps curb my hunger too. Maybe it’s the foaminess, but I don’t get hungry as fast, and it’s a great after workout drink, or even a lunch combined with a fruit or veggie or small salad on the side.It is a little pricey, but has good quality ingredients, so it’s worth it.
