Another wonderful palette
Very nice summer palette with pretty pastels! Goes on soft and smooth. Of course the containers are gorgeous too. Highly recommend!!

Very cute design, but eyeshadows could be more pigmented
This eye shadow palette is so cute, and the case feels heavy weight and high end. The enclosed mirror is great quality and is very clear and sharp.The eye shadows themselves don’t quite live up to the beautiful exterior. They could stand to be more pigmented and bright; it takes a few swipes to get really good color payoff. You can see that I tried to swatch the colors on my wrist but the colors are a bit hard to distinguish (and in fact you can see the color of my veins more clearly!).In addition, they’re not the most blend able or easy to work with. However, I was able to put together a pretty nice eye design with them, and I do love all the colors. The eyeshadow stayed put all day without setting spray, which was a very nice surprise. Overall, I’ll definitely keep this eyeshadow set in rotation, but I don’t think it’s going to be my go-to.

Such gorgeous packaging, but not great color match for me
This is 3.5 stars, rounded down to 3 stars.Good Things:-this has absolutely adorable packaging. I’m a sucker for cute makeup and this ticks all the boxes there with a shell-shaped palette. The palette is well made and heavy, with a very pretty mermaid vibe.-it has a mix of shadow finishes, with matte, shimmer, and glitter.-colors stay on well and show up. The shimmer/glitter is very fine, which is good because I don’t want chunky glitter in my daily routine, but also bad (see below for that).Not Good Things:-the colors are a bit darker than I prefer and because I’m so pale, it makes this palette not as useful as I had thought it would be.-I had hoped this would be a good travel option with a perfect mix of shadows but it has too many dark colors and the white color is very chalky on me. It is also heavier than I expected so if you’re trying to save weight, then take note. The weight means it feels higher quality than I expected, though.-i wish there was more satin/pearl finishes for the shadows. Because I have dry skin, I tend to not prefer the matte shadows because I think they can sometimes make me look dry and they also tend to read darker on me, which is fine for the evening, but not great for daytime.-the glitter finish on these can get everywhere on my face and after a while, makes my eyes itchy. Even after I do a double cleanse that truly removes even waterproof makeup, I can still see bits of the shimmer. I think that is why my eyes itchy from it…because it sticks to everything and it’s super fine, so it gets in my eyes and it can be hard to flush out. It hasn’t triggered any allergies, but after a bit, I think I begin to feel he bits of dust in my eye and that’s why it itches.-I am a very pale and cool- toned person, and I was expecting this to read more on the pink/gray spectrum. On me, though, it seems to lean more purple/mauve. It’s not bad, but not what I was looking for.- this is made in China, so not sure on animal testing for the brand.Overall, I think this brand makes gorgeous packaging. If I could just figure out the right palette that will work for my coloring and that has more pearly, satin finishes, I would be thrilled. For more medium and darker skin tones, I think this one would be an absolutely awesome addition to a collection, especially if you’re into the cute and pretty packaging.
