SILKY SMOOTH
Iâve been looking for a good sunscreen and have not had success until now. There is no odor, it goes on super smooth and does not make your skin feel oily. Great for wearing all day to protect your skin! The only negative is a wish the bottle was bigger especially for the price. Truth is I will continue to buy as needed because I do need to protect my skin!

Incredible post procedure sunscreen
I bought this to use after getting a chemical peel, after which sun protection is crucial. (Itâs crucial anyway if you care about skin aging. But in this case scarring can result if youâre not careful.) I was looking for something suitable for very sensitive skin, and particularly without niacinamide, which is normally a benign ingredient, but my skin reacts poorly to it. I had some reservations about a sunblock the same color as a shamrock shake, but itâs basic color theory and the green tint just tones down redness. You will not look green. I had zero burning or stinging, even in places that were scabbed. I just patted a mineral foundation over it, and off I went. I could see this being a great option for people with rosacea.Note that this makeup is not intended for swimming or heavy sweating, but if youâre recovering from a procedure you probably wouldnât be doing those things anyway.

Exceptional sunscreen for facial CO2 recovery
I just started using this, I had a CO2 laser treatment done and oh goodness, I am all over protecting my new skin after going through that ordeal. My previous sunscreen that I loved was discontinued so I went looking for something seriousâ¦..a well known brand, and it had to be thin like make up going on and very light on the faceI had a jar of elta sunscreen that I used for all day exposure and was aware of the reputation of these products but since my face was healing and remained really red I took another look at elta to see if there was one for skin recovery. TA DA, yesâ¦â¦elta MD UV skin recovery was made just for my situation. It has 50 SPF, is zink oxide based and made for sensitive skin. I couldnât wait for it to get here.I was not disappointed, I knew I wouldnât be; goes on like a lotion but not heavy and thick like the sunscreens of old. It is very light and only takes a small amount to dot on the face. It comes out green, but that helps counteract the redness of the skin.I will say itâs pretty small, 1.7 oz pump bottle, and yes, pricey. I found it cheapest here onAmazon. But itâs exactly what I needed to replace my old brand, is serious skincare and is so light you hardly know youâre wearing it. After investing that money, and downtime, on a laser treatment I feel confident wearing this, checked all the boxes and Iâm very happy with it!Editing my review: I still love this sunscreen, very muchâ¦â¦but after looking at other Elta skincare products I was surprised and disappointed to see they donât have a cruelty free policy. I donât know how I missed that, that alone decides if I should buy a product or skip it. I canât in good conscience support a product that relies on animals for testing., thatâs a huge deal for me. Took off two stars for this reason

Finally a sunscreen that doesnt ghost me.
Let me start by saying: if you’ve been traumatized by sunscreens of the past â the ones that turn you into Casper the Friendly Ghost or cause Mount Breakout to erupt on your forehead â this little miracle in a tube is your redemption arc.âï¸ No white cast? Confirmed. I no longer look like a Victorian child ghost.âï¸ No clogged pores? Also confirmed. My skin is smooth, not suffocating.âï¸ Actually works? Yep. My face has seen more sun than a lifeguard’s whistle and hasn’t burned once.âï¸ Worth the price? For a sunscreen that doesn’t betray me, absolutely.Now, fair warning: this baby might pill if you layer it on top of certain serums or moisturizers (I see you, overly ambitious 10-step routines). So maybe donât cocktail your entire skincare shelf and expect it to play nice. But honestly? Thatâs a small price to pay for functional, invisible, non-pore-destroying SPF.Buy it. Your face will thank you. Probably with fewer zits.

As a person with acne scars it surely hides the redness a good amount and leaves the skin nice and toned.

Good sunscreen
Excellent sunscreen with skin soothing ingredients. Applies nicely and dries down quickly. Be sure to let in dry completely before applying makeup. The green tint is a nice addition and helps yon down redness.

Stung my face terribly
Very surprised but I applied this after a newly washed and moisturized face and it immediately stung my whole face. It was tingly and uncomfortable and the feeling did not dissipate even after 5 minutes. It freaked me out and I washed it off. For the record, I don’t even have that sensitive skin, and I’ve never experienced anything like this with any other sunscreen. I even applied some of it to my arm and it had this cooling, tingly effect on that skin too, but it stopped after a few minutes. The skin on my face just felt stingy and tingling the entire time and the feeling didn’t stop. I have normal to dry skin and I’ve used the other Elta MD sunscreens without any issue. This was hugely disappointing and I will be returning. For $50+ sunscreen, they need to do better.

Three Months and Keeps getting Better
Not one ounce of sunscreen smell, glides on perfectly and the added benefits have really improved my skin overall after using this consistently under my makeup for 3 months!
