Customers say

Customers find the numbing cream effective, working instantly as advertised and lasting several hours, with one noting it’s as good as professional injections. The product is excellent for tattoos, particularly aftercare, and customers appreciate its ease of application, with one completing a 4-hour session without breaks. While some customers consider it worth the price, others find it expensive for the size. The numbness duration receives mixed feedback – while some report total numbness lasting 15-20 minutes, others say it doesn’t numb as much as expected.

    It works
This works so well. The trick is to put it on and wrap it with plastic wrap for 1 to 2 hours and BAM you won’t feel a thing. I used it to get tattooed and I felt absolutely nothing. I swear by this product. It works!

    Great product & fair pricing
Great product. I’m getting a full backpiece done and it has helped tremendously. I had line work and some shading & color done without anything, and while it wasn’t bad I knew I wanted something to take the edge off. I ordered this as it was suggested to me and it definitely works. My last session took a couple trys to get the stencil correct on one side and there was a big difference in numbness between the sides. My daughter also got a chest tattoo recently and she didn’t think it would make much of a difference. I convinced her to use some and when she was done she told me how glad she was to have used it and she could tell a difference when it was wearing off. The trick is to put a good amount on the area 1 to 1.5 hrs before the session and wrap it with cling wrap. Let your tattoo artist know you used it, and always pay attention to your body & it’s response to pain levels.

Yes, it works for tattoos, if you prep.
Yes, it works, if you properly prepare. The photos attached were for a 1.5 hr outline/touchup/coverup followed by 3 hrs of blue coloring. It completely numbed me the entire time except for the last 30 minutes. At which point the effectiveness dropped to about 50%, so, still completely worth it.I would suggest applying a ‘test sample’ the day prior to your tattoo. Do this by applying a small amount to the back of your hand and cover it with wrap. Let it sit about 30 minutes. This will make sure you don’t have a reaction to this cream (as some people do).If you don’t have any redness then you are clear. The day of, here’s what I did (2 hours prior to appointment):- Hot Shower (opens pores).- Apply A LOT of cream (I used 1 complete bottle at this point).- Wrap the area with plastic wrap.- Wrap the area with additional heat source (I used a heating pad). This helps keep your pores open and let’s the cream really get into your skin.- After 1 hour, I removed wrap, reapplied more cream (1/2 of new bottle), rewrap area, cycle heat source (I started cycling my heat source on and off because the numbing cream was really starting to take effect at this point because I realized I couldn’t feel the heat from the pad anymore and did not want to overdo the heat applied to my arm prior to the appointment).- 15 minutes before appointment I removed wrap and wash the area with warm water until all cream and residue was completely gone. Two things to note at this point:1: At this point, the texture of my skin was different, almost ‘puffy’, this was not due to the cream but rather the amount and length of heat I had applied to the area.2: The color of my skin was red, looked like I had a bad sunburn. Again, this was due to the amount and length of heat applied.- Both these points were remedied by thoroughly cleaning the area with water, and by turning on the AC in my car to full coldness, allowing cold air over my arm on the drive to the shop.- By the time I arrived to the shop all the redness and texture difference in my skin was completely gone (no need to freak out my tattoo artist).- It was about 30 minutes or so from the time I removed the cream and the time my tattoo artist started tattooing. All in all, this product did work for me. But, I did do a lot of prep for it to do so. Simply applying this to your skin would probably not be effective if you are looking to get a tattoo.Remember; actually sitting for the tattoo is only about 5% of the work. The remaining 95% comes from property preparing for the tattoo and the aftercare of the tattoo.

The Best Consumer Grade Numbing Cream I’ve Tried
I’m in esthetics and one of the services I perform is semi-permanent makeup (commonly called micro-blading, tattoo makeup, etc.) I have tried SOOOO many different numbing creams, but I always come back to Numb 520. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s also not the most expensive and it works as well or better as any of the more expensive brands (most notably Zensa, which was fine, but not as good as the Numb 520 for brows and lips (for liner I use a different product.) I also use it before micro-needling procedures or other potentially painful facial treatments. Now, is it as good as the stuff only MDs can get? No. But can you buy the stuff MDs use? Also no. Haha! So, this doesn’t ELIMINATE the pain, but it DEFINITELY dulls the pain. It makes the procedures bearable and less stressful for my clients. Based on feedback from my clients I can say that this is an excellent product. It’s also worth noting that I’ve used it on myself (I test everything before it touches any of my clients) and I personally found it to be the best of all the numbing creams I’ve tried. TIPS: 1. Apply at least forty minutes before a procedure. Don’t try to cut corners and save time. 2. Don’t skimp. You don’t need to dump the entire container onto yourself or a client, but also use it liberally…enough for it to really do its job. If you’re trying to save money by skimping on numbing cream…STOP THAT. Your client’s comfort is not only important for them, but it makes your job easier as well. 3. Add cling film (Saran Wrap, etc.) over the numbing cream after you apply it. This keeps it moist so that it keeps penetrating. 4. Don’t bother with the numbing creams on Amazon (or elsewhere) that say they have more than 5% lidocaine. They don’t work (believe me, I wanted it to be true and I’ve tried them) and it’s a waste of your money. BOTTOM LINE: In my opinion this is the best numbing cream and it’s at a reasonable price. You might still feel the pain, but it will make the pain bearable!

    Sensitive skin
I’m gonna be honest, I tried to use this product with epilator( my cosmetologist said that it can help to reduce pain) maybe my skin is too sensitive that I felt nothing. But I am going with 5 stars because it really does his job, probably it fits best for tattoo masters or cosmetologist

Works, but Not as Long-Lasting as Expected
The numbing effect of this cream does kick in after about 20-30 minutes, and it does help dull the pain for minor procedures or skin irritation. However, I found that the effect doesn’t last very long maybe an hour at best. It’s decent for short-term relief, but for extended numbing, it did not meet my expectations. The texture is smooth, and it applies easily, which is a plus. Overall, it’s okay, but not the strongest out there.

    Numbs great
Works great. If you add a thick layer and let it set with plastic wrap over it, you will feel nothing.

Was not effective.. within less than an hour the effect was gone.. had to endure another 3 hours of getting inked in much pain.. there are other options of up to 40% lidocaine, which I was not aware of and may have been better.. Will be trying that for next session..

Effective if applied like a a shaving foam. Keep for 2 hours and it will be effective for 1 hour. Though price is too high for such small jar.
