The Original Dermaroller but with the XCellarisPro product line name
This seems to be identical to the original Dermaroller product, made in Germany by Dermaroller GmbH. The only difference I can see is that it is labeled to go with the XCellarisPro line of skincare products (which I love). The 0.2mm needle-length is pretty much half the length that dermatologists use, but I would not feel comfortable using anything longer than this at home. I firmly believe there is too much risk of skin damage with longer needles unless a skin-care professional is the person using them.So do the shorter needles even work? Well, they must do something because my skin is quite red after using the roller, which I do strictly according to the directions provided by the manufacturer. The redness is caused by blood rushing to the skin surface in reaction to the irritation, so there is definitely increased circulation to my skin when I use this which I think is a good thing as long as no damage to my skin is being done.(This is why it’s essential to examine the needles for damage. Damaged needles can damage the skin, but I can tell you that it’s pretty hard to see that on needles this small.)It seems logical that the needling would allow for greater absorption of skincare products, but I’m not really sure if that actually is the case. I can say that the combination of the Dermaroller hydration products along with increased circulation to my skin does make my skin look and feel great.Bottom line: this is an interesting product geared for home use, but care has to be taken to use it correctly. Keeping the roller clean is essential and not terribly difficult to do. It’s not going to replace the surface of your skin or anything dramatic, but I honestly would NEVER do anything beyond the needle size of this roller outside of a dermatology center.

Sounded Cool – Looks Cool – Can’t Tell a Difference
Nicely packaged. The product is well made, and the included pamphlet was informative. I used the product as recommended over a 3 month period, and couldn’t see much a difference.

Premium German-made dermaroller; 0.2mm needles for transdermal delivery not wrinkles
You’ll find a lot of options for demarollers / microneedling on Amazon. If you read health/beauty magazines, you’re probably heard about this approach, and may have heard that you can use this approach to generate collagen and reduce wrinkles/scarring/etc. And that’s true. But it’s not just about dermarolling. It’s about the needle length. To understand this, a very brief summary of your skin. Skin is made up three latyers: The Epidermis, which is the outer layer, the Basal Layer/Dermis, which lies beneath the Epidermis, and then a fat layer beneath that. In terms of microneedling, only the top two layers (the Epidermis and the Dermis) are relevant. In order for microneedling to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, and to result in the removal of wrinkles and scarring, you need to poke the Dermis layer. If the needle is not long enough to touch this layer, all it can do is create some modest prickling of the outer Epidermal layers, which aids in absorption of skincare products. This particular dermaroller offers 0.2mm needles. This is very short, and a needle this short will ONLY extend into the dead layer of the Epidermis. This means you won’t come close to touching the Dermis. It won’t induce collagen growth. It also won’t cause minor bleeding or much pain. It will tingle a bit, but that’s all. A needle in the 0.75-1.0 range (about 4-5x longer) is required for actual collogen formation. The value of this dermaroller is entirely to prepare your skin to better absorb a skin treatment that you apply after using the dermaroller. That said, this is unquestionaly a premium dermaroller–far better than a lot of the cheapo Chinese-made dermarollers you find on Amazon. The Dermaroller company, who manufactures this in Germany, has been around for a many years, and produces a superior product. It’s worth the extra money. To use this, you run it across your skin. You run it multiple times over the same area, in a “star” or criss-cross pattern, so that you needle the same region multiple times. It’s pretty trivial to do, and it doesn’t hurt. You should follow up rapidly with whatever topicals you might want to apply. The dermaroller should be cleaned after every session. Immersing it in a bit of 70% Isopropyl alchohol is sufficient. Some dermaroller kits come with a cleaning solution. But that’s generally just 70% isopropyl alcohol. There’s no need to buy an expensive solution. Pour enough alcohol in a dish/bowl to allow the dermaroller to be fully submerged, and leave it there for a few minutes. Then you can take it out, put it in the plastic case that comes with the dermaroller, and it’s ready for the next use. If you keep the isopropyl alcohol solution covered (or pour it back into a bottle), you can reuse it multiple times. You can also put isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle steralize by generously applying the alochol to the microller head. In that case, I would use the highest purity isopropynol you can find, and certainly not less that 70%.A 0.2mm dermaroller is not for everyone. But if your goal is to prepare your skin for application of a skin treatment, then 0.2mm is the right length for you, and this is one of the best dermarollers on Amazon. The price is higher than a lot of Chinese made rollers, but sometimes you get what you pay for.
