Customers find the hair dye easy to use and appreciate its pleasant smell. The color quality receives mixed feedback – while some find it vibrant, others report it doesn’t change their hair color at all. Moreover, the effectiveness and longevity are also mixed, with some saying it doesn’t work and doesn’t last long. Additionally, the dye washes right out and doesn’t stain anything too badly, but customers consider it a waste of money.

Great for blending greys
I have patchy grey hair, quite white in some places and darker grey in others. Not pretty. Typically I bleach to level 9-10 and then tone it for a more uniform look. I’ve tried a bunch of toners via my colorist and at home on my own. All have left my hair too blue, too purple, still yellowish, not silver/white enough. Chrome Paints actually works on my hair. I leave Chrome on for 35-45 minutes under a shower cap. It comes out a true silver chrome. No yellow, no blue. Makes your hair soft and shiny. Downsides: It does not last. It washes out in roughly 4 shampoos for me. But throughout the ‘fade’, the color is nice and even. Just does not stay true chrome. It really helps with root growth pre next bleach. Also for people with shoulder length hair or longer or thick hair, one tube is not enough. Still the price is right in my opinion. Good find!

Looks and smells good!
I have been using this Wella semi-permanent hair color for about 4 years now, and am very pleased with the results. After originally getting a recommendation from an “aisle expert” at a local beauty supply chain store, I changed to ordering from Amazon due to the cheaper price and of course, convenience!My original shade was the Lagoon Blue, and then over time, I also applied the Wild Orchard and Raspberry colors. Currently (2nd pic above) I have all three colors in an attempt to do an ombre, but which turned out more of a swirl of the three shades, since my bleached area is only in the bangs and very front of crown.The color applies nicely using a brush or fingers, and I really like the scent, which is rich smelling. I normally attempt to avoid scented things just due to sensitivity, but this hair color has never bothered me. In fact it is very pleasant.The color lasts well. I normally shampoo with color-safe shampoo/condition every other day (or sometimes, every third day) to help the color last longer. I touch-up the color about every two or three weeks, and let is sit under a cap for around 2-ish hours. With my small color area, I can get several applications from one tube.Unless I want to go a different route with my color, I plan on sticking with this brand since I like the results. In the future, I may try a different brand just for a completely different color, but in the meantime, I’ll stick with this Wella product and recommend highly.

Useless
This was so light pink that it wouldnât show up on bleached blonde hair. I donât think this wouldâve worked even on stark white hair. The color on the box and on this product description is very misleading. Go with a darker pink if youâre looking for light pink hair. Also, I used the whole tube on my seven-year-old daughterâs hair and it still wasnât fully saturating into the hair.

I love this product. The colors always show up so cute in my hair. I have thick hair and these colors last a good while as well. The colors mix together really well as well.

Wow, so easy, so vibrant, mild smelling, Iâm in love
This was so easy and effective. I did leave it on for hours, tied my hair up with it in and went about my day (it just dried so probably wasnât necessary I was just busy, I also donât have dye on my roots or near my face so that made it easy). It didnât smell bad, no one noticed and it turned out super vibrant. Maybe even a bit more than I wanted, but itâll fade quickly so Iâm not disappointed. I got my hair professionally died before this and they bleached it then dyed it. After a few months that faded so I decided to try on my own. Soooooo glad I did. One of the pics you can see the before with my hair faded. Perhaps the bleached areas just sucked the color up since I read some reviews saying this dye didnât work. It worked for me big time. Next time Iâll experiment with mixing some colors. It was really so easy. Iâm very impressed. So happy I donât have to go to a solon to get some color. Also, I have shorter hair so didnât use the whole bottle. Very nice I can save the left over for next time. What a great product. I know Iâm gushing but I didnât expect it to be so easy and effective.

Lasted 3 washes
Absolutely loved the silver tone but I was my hair frequently and I hoped it would last a week at least but only lasted 3 washes for me

It’s easy to do at home.
Although I have used this product in the past (Purple, which I loved) this Light Pink is HORRIBLE. I first tried it according to the instructions (20 minutes) and the color did not take. My hair is natural gray, so I thought for sure it would work. I then asked my hairdresser for her input and she suggested that I try it again and double the time suggested, so then I reapplied it and left the product on for 40 minutes and again, it did not take. If you’re thinking of Order this product, DO NOT order the Light Pink or you, too will be disappointed.

If hair is already bleached, remember it will make your hair beautiful platinum.

I am super impressed with how pigmented this is. I wanted to do a sunset ombre on my human hair wig and it rose to the occasion went beyond!It turned out a little darker than I had hoped but given that I will not be washing this wig that often I can live with it.
