Great quality, never have issues
I only buy Brother cartridges now, after âsavingâ a lot of money on the generic brands, and then having my printer reject the cartridges. And of course because I opened the box, they were used. Now I suck it up and buy the expensive ones⦠in the end, fewer headaches, and cheaper.

Printer insisted brand new, fresh magenta cartridge was empty. Brother support was no help.
I’ve been burned far too many times trying to save a buck by using non-OEM cartridges and refills, always with disappointing results and/or damaged drums and printers. While I don’t print a ton, when I do, I need clean, professional color prints every time and only genuine Brother cartridges provide that confidence and peace of mind for me — despite having to take out a second mortgage every time I need to buy them! But that confidence waned last week when I opened a brand-new, freshly sealed magenta toner cartridge from this 4-pack and my printer wouldn’t recognize it! I weighed the old and new and the new was definitely heavier, still the printer insisted it was empty. Finally, after speaking to a Brother rep, they pointed out the internal gears on the side of the cartridge were misaligned telling the printer the brand new cartridge was empty and there was no way for the consumer to fix it, nor did they offer me any resolution to my problem whatsoever. And since these had been purchased and stored to have on hand when needed, they were well beyond the 30-day Amazon return period. The solution? Fork out another $130 for a single magenta cartridge! Grrr! Brother, you can do better!

11 days past return, cartridge won’t work
I ordered this item on April 10. It arrived while I was on vacation. This is listed as a genuine Brother product and arrived in Brother packaging. I installed the yellow toner upon arriving home and returned to work printing as needed. Today, 5/26, my printer will no longer print because it is out of yellow toner. 11 days after the return period closed. These toner cartridges are XL and my previous cartridge was NOT an xl and lasted well over a year. There is NO reason this should not be working except that either the product was faulty or the seller is scamming people. Either way, I am out the $$ and can’t print until I can get a replacement.
