My girlfriend had pushed me to try a retinol product in the past, but I’ve always avoided them due to worries about my skin getting irritated or drying out, as my skin is on the sensitive side. As I’ve had positive results with a several other Brickell products that I’ve used for years, I felt their retinol cream, advertised as low concentration, would be a safe bet to give a try and see how my skin responded.Application / ResultsThis is easy to apply — just scoop a small amount out of the jar with your finger and apply evenly to your dry face. It goes on smoothy and doesn’t leave any odd residue. I have done the “twice a week” recommendation to start, applying in the evening and following with a face moisturizer, as well as wearing a moisturizing sunscreen during the day to help protect my skin and reduce the risk of irritation. I know that some products take some time to give you full results, but after a few weeks my girlfriend says that she is already seeing a noticeable improvement in texture and “brightness” of my skin, so I expect even better results will come with continued use. And besides some very minimal dryness at first, which I’ve easily resolved with continued moisturizer, I really am not seeing any negative side effects. I personally am not sure if I’ll use more than twice a week, which means that the jar will last for several months, making this a very reasonable investment in my skincare routine.Based on the quality ingredients, which are both gentle and effective, and the solid reputation that Brickell brings to the table, would recommend for anyone looking to try a retinol cream who may have been hesitant previously. This is another great Brickell product. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks and I’ve got to say that this does what it says it does. I have some fine wrinkles around my eyes, and although they’re not completely eliminated, they’ve significantly been reduced. Not only that, this does a great job keeping my face hydrated. My skin looks fuller and healthier too.I love that this isn’t a greasy product, isnt heavy at all, and it absorbes into the skin pretty nicely. The smell is pleasant and isnt too strong and a little goes a long way.Unfortunately for me, I was getting some skin irritation using this daily so I had to reduce it down to two times a week, but still had great results.Give this one a try!
