Kid friendly
This is the only thermometer my kids will use. They know how to use it and then can tell us âtheir colorâ and we know whether they have a fever or not. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Temperature accuracy is spot on. These are what my husband uses on the ambulance service he works for.

Made for european markets, works just the same
The packaging is clearly intended for Germany. The manual is the international version, as is the quick instruction card. The unit itself appear to be entirely identical to the US version, except that it defaults to C. (With the unit OFF, hold the power button until it starts alternating between C and F – release when the degree scale you prefer is showing.)The probe covers included inside the Braun packaging are made by Kaz in the USA, just like the Braun-branded probe covers in the US version, and Braun-branded refill packages. The probe cover box is, again, the european version, giving contact addresses in Switzerland and the UK.Bundled with the unit are two boxes of aftermarket probe covers. Aftermarket in this case means Hillrom covers, made by Welch Allyn in the US. These are not the Braun-branded covers made by Kaz that you get when you buy genuine covers. I did knock one star off for this, because the pictures clearly show the Braun logo molded into the stacks of probe covers, and that’s what I was hoping was going to be included.With that said, there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with the Welch Allyn covers. They work just fine, and they are even proud enough to emboss the Hillrom logo where the Braun logo should be.If you haven’t already learned this for yourself, avoid the Chinese probe covers. They are super cheap and thin, and their rim doesn’t have enough rigidity to hold the sensor pin in place.While I just got this one, this isn’t my first Thermoscan 7 IRT 6520. I’ve been using my other one twice a day for the last few months, and I’ve loaned it out several times for events (screening people at the door, etc). I picked up a second one (this one) to make it easier to loan out as the country moves towards re-opening.

Great Thermometer
Extremely accurate readings and easy to use. I donât think the ones you point at the head are accurate especially on my 6 month old. This gives an accurate and quick reading while limiting ear discomfort.

Better Than the “Infrared” Non Contact Thermometers…Why? Accuracy
I purchased the Infrared Forehead Thermometer, Non-Contact Forehead Thermometer for Adult, Kids, Baby, Accurate Instant Readings No Touch Infrared Thermometer with 3 in 1 Digital LCD Display for Face, Ear, Body which is highly rated. All I can say is my BBQ one was more accurate! So I returned it and ordered the Braun. Yes it is more expensive but accuracy is more important to me than price. Once I got the Braun I tested it to my oral thermometer and was spot on. So if price is more important to you…but the one above and hope yours works better than the one I got and then returned. But the Braun for me has delivered what I want…Accurate readings. The one drawback is you have to set the age function each time you use it which is a negative. Otherwise this is a Keeper for me.
