Great for daily BP monitoring
I needed to purchase a new BP monitor that I could use daily to check my BP as my doctor adjusts my medication. I have been suffering from low BP while taking high blood pressure medication – so making these adjustments and having an accurate reading for my BP is critical right now.My only complaint about this product is that it uses two AA batteries and doesn’t offer an option to recharge like my older unit which has a lithium battery. Now on to the positive aspects!Pros:Large, clear display with easy to read numbersComfortable cuff that’s adjustable to a wide range of wrist sizes (huge bonus for people who have larger wrists)Readings take less than 30 secs to report – the speed on this thing is amazing – which makes taking my BP multiple times a day less of a choreI do like the little colored range on one side that visually indicates where your pressure reading is on the scale of normal to very highI also like that this doesn’t have a “voice” feature on it, so I can measure my BP when I’m out and about if needed – my old one does and you can’t disable the darned thing which means it’s not discrete in a public settingNeutral:Auto powers off in 30 secs – which is great as it won’t kill your batteries as quickly, but also not great that you have to power it down manually if you want to immediately shut it offCons:Requires AA batteries which either need to be replaced or you must purchase rechargeable ones if you want to not keep replacing them.For the price, this is a very solid, accurate BP cuff and if you rely on one for daily use like me, this should be your go to option. I’m very pleased with it and would easily recommend it to others.

Not at all accurate
With grace given for the occasional malfunctioning “lemon” for even these products, I will say this machine cannot be trusted at all for my needs. I am an RN in a long-term facility and, with 36 people in my care, I don’t have spare time to use a manual, “traditional” spigmomonometer. If I need to check a BP I need to do it quickly. That’s why I bought this machine, especially for its ability to fit large wrists. However, I’ve seen radically inaccurate readings (super high and super low) as evidenced by verification with a second spigmomenomer. I can’t trust it. Maybe this is because mine is a malfunctioning “lemon?” Whatever the reason, I can’t recommend this based on my experience with it.

Great product, accurate results
My doctor recommended for me to start taking my blood pressure at home, that way I would be able to keep an eye out and maintain a healthy blood pressure. However, I wanted to make sure I was spending my money wisely on a blood pressure monitor that was actually accurate and comparable to the one my doctor uses. He suggested a few reputable brands, Beurer and Omron. When going through reviews I decided to go with the Beurer BPM as it seemed to be a reliable brand for BPMs as well as other household items. Shortly after I ordered the item I received it in the mail. Its design is compact, portable, and it even came with a storage case for when Iâm on the go and traveling. Needless to say it was beyond accurate and ridiculously easy to use. I was concerned I wouldnât understand how to use it or interpret the results, but the product actually made it so easy as it classifies measurements using a color chart. Not only that, but it actually has capability to store my results (up to 60) to keep record of past results â which I really, really liked. Iâm thoroughly impressed with this product and the technology and dependability. I would definitely purchase this item again!

Good Substitute If You Can’t Use an Upper Arm Cuff
I purchased this unit because I tore my bicep and upper arm cuffs no longer give valid readings. My arms are also larger than most economically priced upper arm monitors can handle. My wrist is also pretty big around, so this unit’s extended size was the perfect choice and it was well priced.I should point out that I am left handed, so I first tried using this on my right wrist because that is easier to manipulate for a lefty. I can’t find it printed in the manual anywhere, but ONLY use this on your LEFT wrist. I could not get anything remotely like a valid reading on my right wrist, but on my left wrist (which takes some acrobatics being left handed) the values come out pretty consistent. I’m guessing this has to do with the sensor positioning. I also had to fiddle with the strap because they seemed to have put the velcro in the wrong place.The unit has an “OK” sign so you’ll know you have the unit tilted at the correct angle for taking a reading. This is not an LED, just a visual effect with lines so that you see OK when it is the correct way. There is no backlighting on the screen.Getting the unit tight enough, but not too tight for me worked out to just being able to slip my small fingertip in without the unit jostling. I discovered that the best results are to put the unit on, then wait 5 minutes before activating, at least for me. The unit only take about a minute to take a reading and my wrist feels compressed, but nothing like the pain of upper arm units.Overall, I am pleased with the ease of use and speed of the unit; but I believe Beurer should really make it clear that it is to be used on the LEFT wrist only if you want anything remotely accurate.

So easy and accurate. Just strap on wrist and read your numbers. Easy instructions. No need to strap onto upper arm like older styles. My husband saw this at dentist office, and wanted one for Fathers Day. Amazon delivered quickly. Hubby loves checking his BP, and mine, daily. Something more people need to do, daily. Records BP history for 2 people if you want. This cuff makes it easy. Great for all ages. Daughter uses for before and after yoga and cardio. Comes with a great little compact snap case. too. Very good quality. Great investment for your health.
