How Did We Get Our Start?
Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

Great Overall
Excellent ingredients that are safe, really pleased. But be prepared, it’s greasy. Super shiny and feels heavy. But it’s either that, or the toxic chemicals in the other brands. I go with this. Would be vastly better with daily use if you wear makeup if it dried down. At the pool? No make up? Hiking? Great product. Just a little lighter feeling – has a vaseline type consistency – would be great.

Best mineral sunscreen!
My new favorite! I have been using mineral sunscreens for years due to history of skin cancer and fear of the chemicals in other products. I used Sun bum first and changed to Blue lizard because it doesnât leave as much white residue. Now that I have tried Badger, it will be my absolute go to. It doesnât even go on white! Leaves a nice not sticky sheen to your skin and I donât feel like I have to scrub myself in the shower to get it off. Effective for hours. Price is reasonable as well.

Great protection
I have skin damage from too much unprotected fun in the sun. I have used this product twice on my face since I received it and I really like it. It does feel a little greasy on my face but itâs better than more dermatology visits.

Reliable natural sunscreen
This has been my go-to sunscreen for many years now. It’s all natural, almost all organic and it’s free of all the scary nasties you’ll find in chemical sunscreens. I’ve found it effective (I don’t burn when I sit out in the sun after applying this) and it doesn’t irritate my skin.The only downside (and the reason I’ve given it four stars instead of five) is that it’s very thick/oily, so it doesn’t spread as easily on the skin as chemical-laden sunscreens. But four stars is still a good rating in my book, and I’d gladly trade a little more effort to apply this for all the harmful ingredients in other types of sunscreens any day.Pros:All natural and almost all organic.Free of harmful, scary ingredients.Effective 30spf protection.Pleasant, very light natural scent.Gentle on sensitive skin (at least on mine).Cons:Very thick/oily and doesn’t spread as easily as chemical sunscreens.Bottom line: It’s totally worth working a little harder to apply this than risking my health with quick and easy chemical alternatives. I’ll keep buying this product and I totally recommend it.

Great Mineral Sunscreen
Good sunscreen. I am allergic to chemical sunscreens and this works great. Only thing to note is leave it out in the sun for a few minutes to warm up, it makes spreading it in much easier.

Very greasy feel
I appreciate the natural ingredients but I find it very greasy and uncomfortable on my skin. It’s also hard to tell where you’ve put it because it is transparent.

Awesome 30 mineral Active
Using 30 Active mineral for a few years. Goes on clear. Although thick, still feels smooth and not heavy or sticky. Even on face itâs great ! Plus good sun protection and lasts even through activity. Love its only a few ingredients. All around best product.

i’ve been looking for a mineral sunscreen for a while because it’s environmentally safe. I’m indian and quiet tanned and this doesn’t leave me looking like I’ve white paint on my face:-). very slight white cast in the beginning of application which goes away after few minutes. This sunscreen is very moisturising, which is great for me as i have dry skin and psoriasis and doesn’t irritate my skin. Maybe will be a bit too greasy for people with oily skin. Perfect for dry skin. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive for the amount you get, but i guess it’s because its an US imported product therefor its way more cheaper in the US. I wish UK made a clear zinc oxide sunscreen for a reasonable price.

I cannot fault this product. Been using for a month now and feel my skin is well protected from the UV rays. I spend a lot of time in the sun, particularly playing sports. I apply this to my face and arms mainly. OK, the cream is a little thick but I’ve got used to applying it now.
