This is the BEST
First let me start by saying I have 2a/2b, very thin, bright purple hair. I have tried several different curly hair systems, and I have to say this is the BEST I’ve ever used. I started using the shampoo and conditioner, curl cream, and gel.The shampoo cleans my hair beautifully without stripping my color. I have not felt for the need to use a clarifying shampoo since I started with this brand. Yet it leaves my hair soft and manageable even without the conditioner. It smells nice but not strong. Oh and it dies not have a lot of sudsing so be careful the first time you use it. You will be tempted to use 3x the amount you need. Just make sure you hair is soaking wet and put a quarter size (for my thin hair) to you scalp and you will amazed at how it will clean your hair.The condition is so great! It gives great slip in the shower but does not leave a film or make my thin hair greasy. Nor does it weigh it down at all. I use a bit more than a quarter size and it is plenty. It rinses out so beautifully but still gives me that slip I am looking for while I scrunch my hair in the shower.So because my hair is so thin, I usually cannot use curl creams or at least not too much. It will weigh down my hair. But not this one. It actually helps tighten and curl my curls. No other curl cream has done that for me…ever! Before using this entire system my hair was more close to 1c/2a. Yes you read that right. Not anymore. My hair is so curly. I had no idea it could get that curly. Wow. All my friends have noticed, my husband, and even my kids. I love my hair now!Oh and somehow these products make my hair thicker. I have a scrunchy I use. Usually it goes around my hair 3 times to keep it up. Now with these products, at the end if the day when I put my hair up it goes around 2x. That’s not to say I couldn’t go a 3rd, but I don’t need to now to make it stay. So cool! And my hair looks fuller and thicker as well.Oh. I need to mention the crunch. None to very little. I have put this to the test and used a LOT for my hair and still very little crunch. Only beautifully SOFT, touchable curls. Once my hair is dry, (I blow dry about 50% dry & air dry the rest on most days) I shake it out a bit and fluff the roots a bit and it just look beautiful. I go 4 days between washings and it looks good for all 4 days.Humidity test. I live in southern Cald and it is summer right now. My hair has not frizzed out at all. Last summer I wore ponytails a lot because of the frizz. I LOVE this stuff!I am sure you can tell my enthusiasm for this shampoo, conditioner, curl cream, and gel. GET IT! It’s worth it, especially if you have my hair. I originally bought a travel set as a trail of this product and now I am sold and this is my curly hair product. Anyone need a brand new bottle of Cantu shampoo and conditioner? I will never go back

Keep Coming Back, Can’t be Best for the Price
After DC arc angel was discontinued, I was devastated. This is NOT a dupe.HOWEVER, the gels from this line are the closest I can find to original DC and the only gel that works with my thick/dense, fine 2 B/C hair. I absolutely must have hold without a ton of weight or my waves lose their shape and my hair it’s volume.I end up mixing both the soft and high definition. The amount of each depends on the length of my hair at the time. It starts off jaw length and when I get it cut about 6 months later it’s well past my shoulders.The gel is drying, but as long as I put leave-in conditioner in first it helps. When I break the cast I usually use a fine mist spray conditioner. I also use a spray conditioner or water to refresh. If I use too much or get my proportions wrong, my hair is a bit stiffer and duller than I would like, but my waves still look great. It gets better if I spritz some conditioner. Worst case I scrunch in the slightest touch of hair oil and it’s back.The gel is water based so it cowashes out nicely and doesn’t create much buildup. If you’re like me and detergent kills your curl pattern, allowing for longer period between bubble shampoos is huge. Typically, I can use alternative CGM cleansing methods and only need to use a detergent shampoo once every month or two.It’s worth having to use a bit more leave-in conditioner (or if your hair is truly curly perhaps a curl cream) to get a true gel cast that can be scrunched after air drying, leaving soft and defined waves

A little goes a long way
Works well but difficult to find the right amount for my hair and thatâs a first for me. I have very dry hair and this can easily leave my hair greasy looking if not careful. The curl really does take though.

Best thing ever for frizz!
Iâve been searching for over a decade for products to tame my frizzy mane and by Jove here it is!I have 3B curly hair but itâs very thin and fine, and Iâve tried Herbal Essences and Garnier and other fruit and sweet smelling mousses. Iâve tried a few curly-hair specific gels but my hair is gets crunchy and they always exacerbate my dandruff.Iâve tried a few leave-in conditioners and even used lotion, which help in the winter when itâs dry but when frizz season kicks in my hair is a wild mess! Iâve tried so many different things and I sort of just got to the point where I âWash, Put, Prayâ and accept my good or bad hair day. Usually it was just âmehâ though.I then came across a video on Facebook where I saw the model with hair like mine use leave-in conditioner, Durex lube (I know right? But itâs mostly just water so I get it), and hair gel. I went and ordered all 3 of those things, and picked this for the gel.My life has changed. This gel does get a little crunchy on the top, but thatâs because Iâm a little heavy handed at that spot. But I donât get an itchy scalp. And oh my god are my curls formed into perfect little ringlets and so soft! Iâve tried using JUST the gel (no leave in or lube) and the results are still the same, if not better! And the next day I can get away with just light combing because the ringlets are still intact (I donât sleep with a silk or satin pillowcase/head covering because Iâm allergic to those materials UGH)!Iâve had so many good hair days with this and I never have to use expensive frizz serum. I will continue to buy and use this gel and will look into other products too! Do yourself a favor- buy this and never look back!

Not sure if itâs really curly girl approved
I needed curly girl approved gel in a pinch. According to the ingredients, it is. But it does leave my hair feeling filmy. Nice hold and smell, but after using the bottle I probably wonât buy again bc of the feel

Crunchless gel with awesome hold
I love this gel. It holds my hair wonderfully and is not sticky or crunchy. My hair is fine, thin and wavy. The smell is pleasant, not overwhelming. My only complaint is I have to shake really hard to get it out of the bottle or store the bottle upside down.

I love this non sticky gel ! It defined my curls sooo nicely and it’s not crunchy ! The gel is also light but silky feeling.The smell is lighter then salon products but its a very nice scent….almost like clean and crisp smell.I will buy this again !!! This works better then my usual gel that cost over 30 dollars normally . I found my new favorite in this product !
