Works Like A Champ!
These work extremely well. Just out of the box, all four thermometers read slightly different temps. After letting them sit out at room temperature for maybe 5 minutes, they all appeared to be in the same range. Allowing for an error rate of 1 or 2 degree difference. Because these units are digital, they were super easy to set. You can switch between fahrenheit and celsius by pressing a button. Resetting is also as easy as a button push as well. So in they went into my fridge & freezer. Two in each. One of the top shelf, one on the bottom. Sometimes there are variances in temps from top to bottom, and side to side.So the reason I ordered these is because my fridge food spoiled way too fast, milk went sour, and the freezer wouldnât freeze anything including ice pops. Obviously something was wrong, but trying to convince a repairman to come out proved to be a pain in the hiney. It was so bad that I stored my fridge food in the freezer just to keep it from rotting. I had the regular maintenance guy (not appliance repairman) take a look. He thought there was nothing wrong. Awww, câmon. Are you kidding?! It was cranked up to max cold in both the freezer and fridge. This fridge was only a year old. Well, after setting up 4 of these thermometers, I finally had solid proof that there was something wrong with my appliance. I emailed the pictures and got a work order immediately. In less than two hours the repairman came, checked with his own thermometer gun and replaced (yes replaced) my fridge with a brand new, just unboxed fridge (of a different brand). Itâs a miracle. Hallelujah, praise the thermometers. Really!! All is right in my world again.As for the pictures, they were taken on the counter at room temperature and also in the old fridge and freezer. As you can see, the room can get very hot during the summer. The 33.9 F temp is from my freezer. The optimal temperature for freezers is zero degrees fahrenheit or less. And the picture with the 49.6 F was taken in my fridge, where temps would fluctuate between 49 – 59 degrees fahrenheit. No wonder the milk curdled. The optimal temperature for refrigerators should be 40 F or less. The last happy pic is from inside my new fridge. Nice and c-c-cold.

Does what it’s designed to do
Popped one in the fridge and another in the freezer section. Brand new refrigerator and these two devices confirmed that we had gotten a lemon. The fancy fridge has an impressive digital display but no real-time thermometer to indicate actual internal temperatures. These inexpensive thermometers allowed me to track and document fridge failure. Worth the investment.

Upright freezer
Works great for the upright freezer. I put one on the top shelf and another on the bottom shelf so I can monitor the temperature inside the freezer.

One Defective – Only Option Was Return for Refund
In the package I received, only one worked. It seemed to work fine. I tried to reach out for a replacement but was told all I could do is return both for a refund. So now I have none again and have to order more. There are others out there, at this point I will try different ones.

Inaccurate temperatures that cannot be trusted.
I bought these for the absorption fridge in my camper. I decided to test using the refrigerator in my house. The clip on the top make them very easy to install and I like that they display the highest and lowest temperature on them. Unfortunately they are not accurate. I have them right next to each other in the back of my refrigerator and there is an 8 degree temperature difference between them. Nether one matched a thermometer I trust and can calibrate although the thermometer that had the colder temperature was only 2 degrees off.
