First timer
First time using an epilater and I am blown away by how well the Silk Epil 9 works. It can be a bit intense if it encounters a large number of hairs in a small area, so I recommend shaving before your first time. Lightly passing over the area helps too. Using it everyday, the established hairs will soon be gone. Once you’re down to just the tiny new growth hairs. it’s a piece of cake. My only regret was not getting the package that had all the extras.

I’ve been looking for an epilator for my face because the other Braun one I have pretty much sucks. Takes forever and it still leaves like 50-60% of the hairs behind. I just got mine today and tried it out. Did my face first. Not gonna lie, it wasn’t pleasant, but I know as I do it more, it’ll hurt less. But it got over 90% of the hairs! Then I tried my bikini line. No pain whatsoever and got every hair. So I thought I’d try my legs (I’ve never used an epilator on my legs, but they had the perfect amount of growth -3 days- so I figured I’d try it. Absolutely no pain whatsoever and they are as smooth as a baby’s bottom. This entire process for all 3 areas took me about 10-ish minutes! I never do reviews, but I’m so blown away by this epilator. I just sent the link to all the females in my family lol!

Amazing!
Iâve only used this once. I have been waxing myself for years and had never heard of this device. I had to purchase it once it was recommended to me. I loved it! It works so much faster than waxing. Less messy too. I had to go over body parts multiple times to get all the hair out, but it did the job. I am so happy I bought it! It will save so much time and itâs small and easy to use. Can easily be packed for travel as well!

Absolutely love this. Yes it hurts at first but I got use to it quickly. I only have it 4 stars because I’m not fond of the razor part of it. I tried it on my arm pits and all it did was leave a burn spot. Other than that I’m not sure how i lived without this in my life.

Great device. I have other epilators so I didnât need another one, but Iâm glad I decided to try this one. Itâs easy to hold and does a very nice job. The razor head wasnât something I was looking for, but I do like it.

How did I live without this
Wasnât sure how I would feel about this thing but I LOVE it!!! I will never shave again, like ever. My spray tan wastes so much linger and my skin finally stays smooth! Works great on legs and underarms, not sure if Iâll work up the courage to try it in other areas. But I donât really think it hurts much, itâs kind of satisfying and soothing, is it me? Am I the drama?? Oh well. Finally, I donât fear the goose bump chill!!

I have been epilating with various machines for 20+ years. I have gone through a few emoji epilators and a few replaceable heads as the bearings would fail after 3-4years. I decided to try the braun 9 as it was on sale this winter and had never had a cord free unit. When it arrived I hopped in the shower and decided to try out its wet dry feature. Useless. I was so disappointed in my purchase. I was going over and over my armpits at different angles and it was not removing hair effectively at all! I gave up. The next day was go time for legs, bikini, and a retry on the pits. As this machine has fewer tweezers than my last I was expecting it to take longer. And it did. But it does a great job! The light is super useful, cord free makes positioning easy, the battery lasted the whole time, and it removes hair well and seemingly with less redness and irritation than my last machine. My legs are the smoothest they have ever been with epilating, typically there were short hairs missed, some broken and not pulled, etc but the braun did a great job! I will probably keep an eye out for it to go on sale again and buy a backup as I hate to be without and in the long run it is cheaper and far less time consuming than shaving. I hope the unit will last longer than a year but I am hairy and my roots have always stayed pretty strong despite waxing and epilating and not shaving. Anyone starting out: it hurts the first few times! I remember thinking my first machine was giving me thousands of paper cuts up my legs. But I toughed it out and used it weekly for a while, then got brave enough for armpits and bikini lines. Donât listen to anyone that tells you it doesnât hurt. But for me it is worth it!!

This is better than waxing and shaving. I have done some epilating in the past and it was quite painful, this one machine is the best I’ve used, super fast and grabs the shortest of hairs, minimal pain. BYE BYE Waxing and shaving !!!
