The Most Effective Brow Definer I’ve Found; Looks Very Natural
I seem to have no eyebrows anymore, so I have to fill them in to look normal. And I DO, indeed, want to look normal, so finding the right color is the trick, as is finding a pencil that delivers a small enough mark that doesn’t look fake or overdone. L’Oréal products, in general, are wonderful…very high quality for an over-the-counter product, but high quality for much more expensive ones.I am a brunette, but I’m in my 70s, and the hair around my face is gray while my brows (the few hairs that are left, anyway! LOL) are still brunette. I’ve found that the Taupe is the right color for me. The other colors are too red, thus are not natural enough. The Taupe is perfect. And the pencil is thin enough to allow me to make small, hair-like strokes until I get the coverage and shape I want. Then I use the brush end to smooth everything out. My brows look very natural. I’m extremely pleased with this product after trying a few others.

I recently tried the L’Oreal Paris Makeup Brow Stylist Definer Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil in Brunette, and I have to say, I’m blown away! The ultra-fine mechanical pencil makes it super easy to create those tiny brow hairs that look so natural. I’ve always struggled with sparse areas in my brows, but this pencil glides on smoothly and fills in those gaps effortlessly.What I really love about it is that itâs waterproof, so I donât have to worry about my brows running or smudging throughout the day. It stays put even in the most humid conditions. The shade “Brunette” is just perfect for my hair colorânot too dark and not too light. I appreciate that it comes in a pack of two as well, so I always have a backup ready.Overall, I definitely recommend giving this brow pencil a try if you’re looking for an easy-to-use product that delivers a natural look. My preferred eyebrow pencil. for a minimal look, I use the shade “Taupe”,when I wear a deeper lip shade or heavier eyemakeup aka dramatic the shade “deep brunette” works best. Some days I’ll use taupe on the first thirdand transition to deep bunette to ensure the “tail” of my eyebrow is more apparent.If it helps others to determine their shade, in “Gimme Brow+ Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel” my matching shade has been 3 medium neutral brown.*For reference: fair-light skin w/some freckling, neutral leaning tone w/some redness. A natural medium brunette w/ some silver streaks, middle-aged.As someone who thick & obviously enhanced eyebrows *do not* suit due to having finer features, L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer serves to give the definition I need without overwhelming my face. I have not had problems with smudging, or an orange/pink(brunette) *gasp* 70’s mustard-like cast (why do so many taupes do that? Eww NO), which I have experienced with other brands of pencil too many times.Based on how it wears and can be blended to present a natural or contrasting finish, I imagine if I began coloring my hair red or black again their other shades would do the job well.Any fading from ample activity has been balanced, and the skin does not appear “painted” or splotchy… so easy touch up when/if needed.Also, since I do have sensitive skin, it’s worth noting this eyebrow pencil has NOT caused Me breakouts, eczema, irritation or any kind of rash which is VERY important to Me, so hopefully L’Oreal doesn’t change it’s formula.I am deducting 1 star due to the price v.s. the amount of product you get- otherwise I would have rated 5â’s. This is the only brand of brow pencil I’ve been using for the past 1.5+ yrs.

Love love loveI used to use Anastasia but this is way more affordable and similar results. The color is slightly darker than Anastasiaâs but no one can tell the difference. So now, I keep rebuying this product.

Runs out in less than a month
I normally use Rare Beautyâs Brow Harmony Precision Pencil but needed to pick something up in a pinch. I received this product on May 17th, 2025. Today is June 8th, 2025 and my pencil is already almost completely empty. I checked the weight against Rare Beautyâs before buying and both are supposedly .003oz. I get that one is more expensive than the other, but the discrepancy in use time makes no sense to me and is frankly unacceptable. The product works fine but I will not be repurchasing because it runs out so quickly.Edited to correct dates and product amount

A good sized pencil tip (not too large, not too small). Easy to use, even for drawing feather-like lines. Accidentally dropped the pencil once onto the bathroom sink and the lead pencil did not break. A good value for money given the quality of the product. Highly recommended.
