Vibrant colors and staying power!
Wow!! Vibrant colors that last! Itâs been 4 weeks of washing my hair every other day with hot water and my hair still looks so vibrant and neon and I am still getting compliments every day. I will never use arctic fox or manic panic or strawberry leopard or any of the other brands Iâve tried over the years again. The purple faded a little faster than the other colors and the cool tones from the neon yellow faded to banana yellow in my fried ends, but my roots where my hair is healthier is still extremely vibrant for all the colors I used.As for use, this dye is a transparent gel I found pleasant to smell and easy to work with. Itâs a hair on the drippier side but it blends easy and absorbs quickly into the hair. I think being transparent made it easier to see what color youâre making when mixing colors. You can hold it up to the light to see the color and you can see if any areas need to be mixed more.I usually leave conditioner colors like this on for 4+ hours but I was short on time and only did an hour and a half with this dye and it still did the job. It absolutely does stain skin pretty bad so be careful. Iâm super happy with this and you canât beat the price for this level of staying power! Repeat customer for life!

Adore Me Some AdoreâFantasy Hair on a Budget with Indigo Blue Magic
Let me tell you: Iâve been on a personal journey through the rainbow, and Adore has been my trusty sidekick the whole way. Iâve been buying their fantasy colors off Amazon for a couple years now because a) I only dye my money piece, and b) I like to switch it up more than a toddler in a Halloween costume aisle. My most recent adventure? Indigo Blue. This shade is chefâs kiss if you want that deep, ocean-at-midnight vibe. It starts out looking like you stole pigment from Poseidonâs favorite cloak. It is semi-permanent, though, so donât expect it to cling to your hair like your cat clings to the warm laundry. I got a solid couple of weeks before it started fading into a soft pastel seafoam vibeânot bad, just a different kind of cute. The fade is gentle, not patchy or weird, and it never made me look like I lost a battle with a Smurf. Now, letâs talk consistency. This dye is not watery like those runny nightmares from some other brands. It stays put, which is great when youâre trying to paint your hair, not your bathroom walls. Plus, each bottle is 4oz and you get twoâa total steal for under $10 depending on the shade. Thatâs salon color price on a ramen noodle budget.Hereâs my own Adore color lineup:Rich Eggplant, African Violet, Violet Gem, Purple Rage â All queens in their own purple way. Long-lasting, vibrant, and fade like a dreamy pastel.Neon Pink â WARNING: It’s so neon you might start glowing like a Vegas sign under a blacklight. Not actually glow-in-the-dark, but close enough.Jet Black â Ehh… the one I wouldnât recommend. Fades fast and gives a weird greenish cast. Use a true permanent black if youâre going dark-dark.Back to Indigo Blueâwhile it did fade faster than the purples, I still loved it. The blue washed out beautifully and didnât stain my bathroom like an abstract art project gone wrong. Oh, and itâs vegan, cruelty-free, and free of ammonia, peroxide, and alcohol, so my money piece stays shiny and happy instead of fried and crunchy. In short: If youâre fantasy-dye curious, broke-ish, non-committal with color, or just a long-time color addict like meâAdore is the move.

Great and affordable
As the daughter of a master cosmetologist I’ve been dying my hair since I was 14 (15+ years experience). I’ve tried them all, punky color, manic panic, artic fox, joico, splat and more. I’ve vetted every product through my licensed cosmetologist mother and never got any kick back due to harmful ingredients or other factors. That being said, this is my new favorite brand for fun semi permanent colors at a reasonable price. I’ve used it on myself and my daughter (see pictures for break down).I wanted to try several colors from this brand prior to reviewing so that it would reflect a bigger range as some colors will last longer or process differently. I wanted more of a neon green for my first color and the green apple was not dark/neon enough for me so I decided to mix a bit of emerald in to achieve the color I wanted since I did not see the exact color I wanted in the colors available. My base color was a BRASSY dark blonde and my daughters was a less brassy brighter blonde, so my original fear was the cooler color neutralizing the brass more than it showing through. The first dye (green apple) on my hair was not bad. The color was good. The first dye on my daughter’s hair (emerald) did somewhat come out dull from the brassyness (did not take a picture) but after a few days, I did a second coat and it came out as pictured. Each time we dyed, I used a brush/bowl application method and let it process for 1+ hr (because I’m busy and forgetful). Here are my thoughts:Pros: didn’t stain my skin an insane amount when I had accidental drippage, color lasts more than 2 weeks (4+ washes), mixes well if you want to adjust color, covers well and pretty even depending on your base and your application, affordable, large range of colorsCons: it takes a lot of washing to fadeI love the range of colors to choose from and I love being able to mix them and not end up with something muddy. I also love that it is pretty long lasting compared to other popular semi permanent colors (look up dye vs dye on YouTube). The only caviot to that is if you like to change colors often, it may be harder depending on which direction you go on the color wheel or if you only want color for a short amount of time like vacation or leave from work, this may not work for you. It also did not stain my daughter’s hair when we did the blue and make it a horrible shade of green that we were unable to cover. So all together, I really love this brand of dye and will continue to buy as need (a little goes a long way) but it may not suit everyone.

Absolutely love this product i did a ombre effect using navy blue and violet gem , I added a touch of the blue to the violet as it is more of a pink color and worked great , I also left it in for an hour and a half , truly happy with this dye .Didn’t dry out my hair actually made it softer as well would highly recommend. Also wear gloves ! My hands will forever be purple ð
