Doesn’t aggravate my congested skin! Consistency = Results
Much to my surprise, my chronically congested skin is loving this Neutrogena regenerating cream!!It noticeably moisturizes my skin with each use and doesn’t feel heavy or sticky as long as you don’t use too much-a little goes a very long way. Being unscented is a major plus… Sometimes fragrances irritate my skin which this does not.This cream has been particularly effective at tightening up my neck and chin, noticeable after 3ish weeks of cleansing (washing) my face and neck then applying the cream in the morning and again at bedtime- twice daily as I am a current retinol user.Quality is outstanding, like you can expect with Neutrogena across the board. Big fan.The little trial size bottle of Hydroboost Face Cleanser is a fun bonus but won’t last more than a couple of uses.*****Something curious about this Hydroboost Face Wash is that I used their product by the same name over a year so before the packaging changed and loved it. This time was different.I didn’t have a bottle around to compare ingredients, but something has changed about this new Hydroboost product by the same name “Hydroboost Hydrating Gel Cleanser” and RIGHT after using it, my face was hot and red for a few minutes which didn’t happen before.I will NOT be purchasing this cleanser on its own, but WILL be purchasing the star product:Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Regenerating Cream.

Ingredients in what you shouldn’t use this with
The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Retinol Repair cream has a lot of great ingredients for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, reducing dark spots. It will work best for mild hyperpigmentation not Melasma. Kojic acid face wash pads work best for that, however, it should not be used with this product.The ingredients help for skin brightening, moisturizing and as a humectant (helping your skin to retain moisture to add more plumpness). One of my favorite things it is fragrance free.When reviewing a product, I do look at other reviews both positive and negative to see if I can add any additional information or clarification to help you make an informed decision in whether a product is right for you.I did look up all the ingredients and their benefits in skin care. One reviewer mentioned information on one the ingredients; BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene) and wrote “It iscompletely unsafe.”, however, this is not accurate. The FDA allows this ingredient in certain concentrations depending if it is in food or skin care (that either stays on your face or washes off). This ingredient has been used since the ’70s and most of the controversy is ingesting it in food. It acts as a stabilizer and also as a antioxidant so the product ingredients do not deteriorate when exposed to air. It is also used in some brands of mouthwashes. It is easy enough to look it up and make your own decision. When it comes to a long-standing name brand like Neutrogena, they’re not going to risk their reputation, their livelihood (in profits and possible legal action), and your safety on an ingredient that’s not approved by the FDA.As for the product itself, it has ingredients that will work with consistent twice daily use. It indicates that you’ll see some results within one week. Depending on your starting point, it could take up to 2 or 3 weeks – well within the return window. If you’re not sure how your skin reacts with retinol, then you should use it once a day for the first 3 days to see if there’s any irritation. It is important to wear sunscreen with these type of ingredients or you could have redness and/or irritation. My favorite is Haru Haru Sunscreen (sold on Amazon) because it has niacinamide, ceramide and it’s fragrance free. When using the Neutrogena Rapid Repair you should NOT use ingredients with; benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C or any type of acid like lactic acid or glycolic acid. It does have absorbic acid (Vitamin C) already as one of the ingredients for skin brightening. The dimethicone (which there is a large amount), will give you that smoothness to your skin, help fill in fine lines and wrinkles – more as a cosmetic effect as opposed to a repair – think of a quality makeup primer.The retinol, absorbic acid, sodium hyalurate and some of the other ingredients are the ones that are going to help repair and improve your skin tone and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It even indicates that it will reduce deep wrinkles that would take more time.Retinol is a cell communicating ingredient, which is a real term. It can help repair your skin and undo some of the damage to your skin. Another example of a cell-communicating ingredient is peptides (which is not in this product), and used in daytime and night-time serums and moisturizers. This product also does also come with a trial size gel cleanser. I am attaching a photo of the ingredients and the directions.I do not have sensitive skin and I did not have any irritation, redness or itching with this product. I used a small amount and it spread well. It is a good amount, 1.7 Oz and using it twice daily should last you about a month. I also didn’t use it directly under my eyes like I would a moisturizer. The skin directly above and below your eyes is a lot thinner compared to your forehead and I did not want to risk any irritation. It is best to use a smaller amount and spread it out to the areas you have fine lines and wrinkles until you see how your skin reacts. I did like how smooth it made my skin and how good it will be for the long-term. I also use an exfoliator once a week when using products like this and St. Ives Apricot Scrub has a good selection on Amazon for different skin types.If you’ve tried other products to minimize fine line and wrinkles, improve your skin tone and it did not work, this product is returnable and is certainly worth a try.

Waiting to see results
I have used Neutrogena products before, so I was pretty confident about ordering this item. Iâm not sure if something happened in transit or if it is supposed to look like this, where it pulls away from the edges of the jar, but it still looks this way even after itâs been on my counter for a few days. It feels a little spongy, like a pudding, but goes on smoothly and doesnât feel sticky. Iâve been trying to use it by itself without any additional serum beforehand, to test out its effectiveness, but so far itâs hard to tell if I see any results.

This lotion has already oxidized
This lotion has already oxidized. Iâve purchased it many times before without any issues, but this time it arrived puffed up and with a strange texture, which did not seem safe to use. always loved it. However, this time the product arrived in unusual condition. Upon opening, it was completely oxidized and puffed up. The texture was not the same as usual and did not seem fresh or safe to use. This has never happened with my previous orders, so it may have been stored improperly before shipping.
