Good product for 3b hair
I have 3b hair and have liked this product so far. The gel is definitely a medium hold though. Itâs good for general fly-always, but I may need to get a stronger hold for when I want to do a wash-n-go. It does the job fine but I want my hair to be just a little bit more controlled when I have my curls out. Overall though, great gel and would recommend. I also appreciate the fact that itâs a clean product.

Great formula, tube sucks
I’ve been so pleased with Ceremonia and this gel is also just as great, formula wise. I use this when my hair is damp for wet styling, right after I apply a curl cream and it does a great job at defining my curls. It doesn’t leave a crunchy texture behind when it dries and give my hair a nice shine. It does tend to get a bit fluffy by day 2, but it’s to be expected from a medium hold gel. I haven’t used this on dry hair, so I can’t speak to that. Overall, I love this for a softer defined hold It does have a musky, perfume like scent that isn’t too strong and pleasant. The main issue I have with this is the tube packaging. The gel is too watery for the container and leaks out immediately as I go to open the flip top and would be best in a pump bottle.

This gel defines curls without crunch and smells incredible. It leaves my hair bouncy, soft, and shiny with zero buildup. A little goes a long way, and I love that itâs clean and plant-based. Totally a new staple in my curly hair routine.

medium hold hair gel
I was not disappointed by this hair gel from the Ceremonia Store. It is labeled as having a ‘medium hold’ so I didn’t expect it to be super strong nor super stiff. I applied the gel to my hair when it was still a little damp and blow dried it the rest of the way. As expected, my hair did maintain some movement but the gel helped to define the texture and reduce frizz. My hair didn’t feel stiff or sticky after it was dry; in fact, it didn’t feel like I had any product in there at all!

I had never heard of Ceremonia hair care before receiving this hair gel. I immediately fell in love with this Pequi Styling Gel! It is not too sticky or thick. And it does not dry stiff and shiny and chalky. It held my style and waves in place without getting crunchy. The scent was pleasant – not fruity or floral – not patchouli and musk. Pleasant and clean scent.

Light hold, with no flakes or crunchiness
This gel does a good job of controlling flyaways and taming bed head.It adds control and a little definition to my medium length, fine hair.I would describe the strength as a light hold, rather than the medium hold claimed.It comes out of the tube rather fluid and only semi-viscus. It’s much more watery than most other gels I have used.Once it dries, It struggles to maintain my style. My hair can still move quite a lot and blows around in the breeze.Attempting to re-wet and style with misted water, results in the hold being even lighter, because the gel is coming out.Since the hold is a little on the light side, I use it only when exercising, to keep my hair mostly controlled for about an hour, but maintained style isn’t all that important, like when at work, or out socializing.It truly does not flake though, no matter how much my hair moves around.It also doesn’t look or feel unnatural, hard, or crunchy or sticky to the touch after it dries.The fragrance is pleasant, but a little stronger than I’d like; to the point that it actually competes with my applied fragrances.I like that it has quality ingredients and I feel safe using it.I just wish the hold was a bit stronger and the scent a bit weaker.

An average gel with a premium price
I tried the Ceremonia Pequi Styling Gel ($24 for 6.7 oz), and it works fine, just not amazing for the price. It gives a light hold without any crunch, which I do like, and the scent is really subtleâbarely noticeable, which I appreciate. The texture is pretty runny, so I donât need to dampen my hair first, but it also means Iâm going through the bottle pretty fast. For how small it is, I donât think itâs a great value overall.

WORKS WONDERS!!!
Iâm a volunteer stylist at a couple local nursing homes in my area & I tried this gel out on a couple clients & it works wonders! Me & my clients love the smell! Itâs not the same consistency as many other gels., itâs more on the thin side & at first when I put some in my hand., I didnât think it would work due to the consistency but went ahead & used it on my client & after drying her hair, I started curling it with an iron & her curls were finally tight & firm., usually I have to go over most of them or spray hairspray on them in order for them to stay & I donât have to do that with this gel. They stayed perfectly in place until I was done curling & backcomved them all out. Iâm very satisfied with this gel & the quality is excellent! It didnât leave any residue. It isnât greasy or sticky, it smells great, & a little goes a long way. Itâs currently priced at $24 & itâs my opinion that is reasonably priced. I would purchase this again & I highly recommend
