Great Fragrance Free Option
This shaving cream is a great option that is gluten and fragrance free. It is creamy and moisturizing, but doesn’t clog my razor. It has a slight smell, but it’s pleasant. It has not irritated my skin or given me a rash. This a good option for people with sensitive skin.

Doctor recently suggested I switch to all Vanicream products to deal with some horrid skin issues I was having. They all work great and I can’t recommend them enough. I had some reservations about this product from the mixed reviews and the fact that I use an old school safety razor for shaving.It’s a foamless product which can throw people off as you have to take the time to really rub the product in and use warm water. But the shave was good – very good, actually. Normally I used a lathering cream on top of shaving oil but this on it’s own worked well.Yes, it smells like corn chips, but presumably you’re buying this because the masking scents in other products are an issue for you.Wish they made an aftershave balm!

I have very sensitive skin, and have tried several other shaving creams, which all irritated my skin. This is the first one Iâve found that doesnât irritate my skin. I also appreciate the fact that itâs unscented and truly fragrance free. It works fairly well as a shaving cream. It prevents razor burn and irritation. My biggest complaint is that it is pretty thick. It doesnât foam up or lather the way some shaving creams or gels do, so I have to use quite a bit of it and go through almost half a container just to shave my legs once. Consequently, I have to buy it very frequently and itâs not cheap. I actually spend much more on shaving cream than I do on razors. Because itâs thick, it also tends to clog my shower drain, even when used sparingly, which is very annoying.

Works and Smells Great
I notice fewer razor bumps after using this. It’s fragrance-free, but I personally think it smells great, smells kind of like a cream dessert.

Worst shaving cream Iâve ever used
Worst shaving cream Iâve ever used. I had been using the smoothest shaving cream ever (Cremo; and Iâve tried aaaaall the popular brands for comparison over the years), but went back to making all my own toiletries from real ingredients. I wanted more lather and glide than the Castile/olive oil blend provided, so I ordered this. Somehow, it was worse than the super plain homemade stuff. It gummed up my razor immediately and pulled the hair/skin. I noticed a bit of razor burn the next day. The next time I shaved, I decided to do an experiment and do one leg with this stuff and the other leg with the homemade stuff. The homemade one really was better; no razor burn on that side. I almost marked this 5 stars for the sensitive skin category, but how can it be good for sensitive skin if it leaves you with razor burn? So I gave it a 3 on that since it does have non-toxic ingredients. It does have a smell, but itâs not good or bad and itâs quite subtle. As for sheerness, I donât understand why that matters for a shaving cream so I left it blank. Lastly, itâs way overpriced, especially considering its terrible quality. This was roughly as effective as shaving with only water. I plan to try what another reviewer suggested and just use their lather-y bar soap.

what i needed
I have sensitive skin so I was looking for a good option for shaving soaps and this one is excellent. I didn’t break out after using it and I didn’t feel any irritation or allergies.

I bought this because my face kept swelling up after using some extra sensitive foams like Nivea and Fusion, it does the job but after I’ve bought it at about 12 pounds then the send time it had gone up to 15.99 then now it’s over 20 pounds so I will use simple soap now as that lavers up just as good, it’s a shame the keep putting up the price and I assume they think I will keep buying it but not at the price it is now.

Iâm not sure why everyone mentions the bad smell of this product, because I think it is quite neutral. I was trepidatious buying it because of the reviews, although Iâm glad I did. I canât use any products with dye or scents and this is a real godsend.
