Natural, Clean Ingredients, Interesting Concept
A natural oil that supposedly has multiple benefits for the skin. I was drawn to this product because reducing hair growth by using natural ingredients is a new concept to me, and for several other reasons- the biggest being the few extra, seriously annoying hairs that I get under my chin and over my upper lip due to ongoing PCOS symptoms. I’ve never been a fan of using the shaver to remove these and I feel like using it has made the hair grow in thicker. I absolutely LOVE the idea of reducing the hair overall, through a natural product no less (since I am a huge proponent of anything natural, this product seemed like a win-win all the way around). The ingredients in it are known for their ability to potentially reduce unwanted hair growth over time and moisturize the skin. Since it appears the manufacturers recommend you use it for a period of four weeks to see results, I will have a better idea of how it is working for me once some time has passed.I’m also curious to see whether or not it will help reduce my husband’s acne scars- I was so intrigued by the product that I not only used some on my face and other areas on my body that had unwanted hair growth, but put some on his face as well as part what has become our new nightly rituals of trying different products (I am usually the one that leads the race in this ritual since he’s not quite as enthusiastic about it as I am). We’re both curious to see how it works for us. I will say, that after using it initially, it seemed to irritate my face slightly, but mostly my upper lip. Maybe I will just need to use less of it.The other areas I used it on did not seem affected by it.

Light and moisturizing oil
I’ve never used cyperus rotundus oil before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect regarding all of the promises this product made. I’ve used it for a little over a week now and really the only thing I can say is this product applies easily, doesn’t leave a heavy residue, and it’s very moisturizing. It’s a very clear, watery product. Which isn’t a bad thing, I think the less-viscous, more-liquid formula makes it easier to apply because it’s not as thick. I added a photo of the oil in my hand to see the color! I’ve used it both with lotion and without and I think it makes a difference in the immediate feel of my skin (it gets rid of any skin tightness or sort of dry spots) and helps my skin feel soft for longer than lotion on it’s own would. I’ve applied the oil to my legs immediately after shaving and there was no burning or reaction, so that’s good! The bottle and dropper are nice quality and I haven’t had any issues with the product leaking. Overall, I think it’s a good value for the price of a body oil that smooths and moisturizes, but I can’t speak towards any body hair removal (I’m sure with longer, continuous use, I would have an answer, but I haven’t noticed any changes yet). It hasn’t really done anything that any other body oil I’ve tried has, but it’s nice!

Made me itch
I ordered this in hopes it would soothe my skin after shaving. I applied it to the front of my bikini area after showering and shaving. Ufortunately, instead of soothing it, it left me itchy all day. Maybe it will work on my legs but definitely won’t be using on the bikini area again.

Great for Scent Sensitivities â Subtle Changes So Far
Iâm post-menopausal and, like many women, have started to grow a few chin hairs that Iâd really like to get rid of. Iâd heard some buzz about cyperus oil as a natural hair growth reducer and decided to try this âCyperus Rotundus Oil for Hair Removalâ by Jtopyrt because it seemed like a good value.Iâve tried a few other cyperus oils in the past, but they were usually too heavily scented for me to use on my face. This oil is truly unscented, and Iâve been able to apply it to my chin and upper lip without any irritation or overstimulation. Itâs a fairly lightweight oil that typically absorbs into my skin in 5â10 minutes, leaving it moisturized but not greasy.Iâve been using it for about two weeks. So far, Iâve noticed the hairs feel slightly less coarse. I havenât seen a decrease in the number of hairs Iâm plucking, but the texture seems to be changing gradually.I wasn’t able to find a date of manufacture or expiration date on the bottle, but I anticipate finishing it in a few weeks. The bottle contains 50ml, and I use about 1/4 of a dropper full per day.I havenât used this on my body, since the hair there is already light and sparse, so I canât speak to its effectiveness in those areas. My primary goal was to address facial hair.If youâre looking for quick hair removal, this oil probably wonât meet your needs. But I plan to continue using it and would recommend it to others who are scent-sensitive. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, and it seems like my chin hair is gradually becoming less coarse.

Moisturizing and lovely scent â still waiting on long-term results
Ive been using this Cyperus Rotundus oil (also known as Nagarmotha) consistently for a few weeks now. While I havenât seen a noticeable reduction in hair growth or pore shrinking yet, Iâm still giving it time. I suspect this is the kind of product that requires long-term use for cumulative effects.That said, the oil itself has a mildly pleasant, earthy scent and feels great on the skin. It is moisturizing without being greasy. I enjoy using it post-shower or after shaving.Traditionally, Cyperus Rotundus (a sedge plant used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine) has been known for its anti-inflammatory, astringent, and balancing properties. Itâs used to soothe irritated skin, regulate oil production, and support circulation. Some people use it in post-wax or hair-removal rituals because of its believed ability to slow regrowth and calm the follicles.This oil may be more of a slow herbal ally than an overnight miracle â but I like the ritual of using it, and Iâll continue for now to see what happens over time
