Best Bang For The Buck
Iâve resigned myself to the death of shaving creams that contain (benzocaine-Lab Series of yore) or FACE ( lidocaine-disappeared fruit m Amazon months ago). I like thIs one as itâs unscented and moisturizing. And very inexpensive. Docked a star for no lidocaine. lol

Well … It’s Cheap
Frankly, that’s about the nicest thing I can say about it. It’s not terrible. And it’s a step up from Foamy. But if you really want to feel the difference a high quality shave cream can make, try TOBS or Geo Trumper or Prorasso and at least get a feel for the real thing. (PS – I’m actually a pretty big fan of Amazon Basics products, they usually offer good value for the money. Just not this one.)

Tonight I went to shave and realized I was out of my favorite shave cream. Itâs pricey, but has always given me a great shave.I remembered I had a tube of this Amazon Basics 2-in-1 Shave Cream under the bathroom sink, so I figured Iâd use it tonight and order some more of the pricey stuff later.With low expectations set, I squeezed out a bit in my palm. Then I took a bit on the fingers of my right hand and started massaging it into my wet face.My first thought was, âthis doesnât lather as good as my regular shave creamâ.My second thought was, âthis feels almost like a lotion⦠with latherâ.At first I was annoyed that the cheap backup wasnât going to cut it and then I remembered one of the primary missions of shave cream is to soften the beard so your blade can shave better.Decided there was only one way to find out of this was going to be ok, so I waited a minute for the beard to soften like I always do and then applied razor to faceâ¦Not sure how to convey how soft it made my beard, but the razor seemed to glide over my skin, while still obviously catching the hairs on my face.This was an amazing shaving experience and left my face smooth and soft.Adios pricey shave cream! Youâve served me well for a lot of years buddy, but you just got beat on price AND performance.I canât see any reason to order something now expensive when something less expensive does an even better job.For me and my beard, this is the right stuff.

Like shaving with Mayonnaise, use motor oil before this
This stuff is awful. At times, when travelling, I’ve been without shave cream and I’ve used whatever skin lotion the hotel had in the bathroom, that’s what this stuff is like, super greasy, so it’s even hard to rinse your hands after applying it to your face. I would shave, normally, and then feel like I had to shave again in three hours. A lot or a little, the performance was universally unsatisfactory.

Horrible. Don’t waste your money.
I have no idea what the 5-Star reviewers used before but this is one of the worst shave creams I have used. The razor glides like on mud and takes forever to rinse off. It makes NO lather and is just generally a horrible waste of money. The lotion conditioner must be over 50% of this 2-in-1 formula because the shave portion is non-existent. The only reason for 2 stars is that it IS fragrance free.
