    Good book on a great supplement!
    “Collagen is Life” is a good resource for learning about the benefits of taking collagen, the studies done on it, the potential side-effects of overdosing on it, the different kinds, and a run-down on some of the more common brands. I got the book because I wanted to know if the one I’ve been taking for the last 5 years is a good choice, and it is, being his own favorite as well. The author mentions the benefits of taking collagen for your eyes, something not commonly known. I can definitely verify this. Except for the cornea, the eye is made up entirely of collagen. I had a condition a few years ago where the outer layer of my cornea would tear off when I opened my eyes upon waking up at night. Saying it’s painful is putting it mildly – 2 hours of intense pain before it would finally subside. The eye specialists I saw couldn’t help me with it, and I had five more occurrences of this over a 6 week stretch. There is an extremely painful operation you can have for this, but it only has a 50% chance of success. So I saw an acupuncturist, who researched it and, along with treating me, suggested I go on collagen, because studies suggested that increasing the collagen level in your eyes can help it adhere better to the cornea. It worked, and I’ve had no further occurrences of it since, and continue to take collagen daily. So yes, I’m a fan of collagen, and highly recommend this book.

    Adding Collagen to My Diet ASAP
    Informative and accessible read. I already knew about the anti-aging agents of collagen, but learning that collagen also aids in sleep, promotes bone health, regulates gut health, lowers cholesterol, amongst other health benefits emphasizes the importance of adding it into your diet. What I like about this book is Dan caters to both: the people who will add collagen supplements to their existing vitamin regimen AND the people like myself (because I’m forgetful), who prefer to get their nutrients from a balanced diet.Easy read. Provides you with the facts. Guides you in dosing and introduction to daily consumption.

    Must read for anyone interested in collagen and it’s benefits!!
    All I can say is Dan B. has done it again! Just when I thought I knew just about everything there is to know about collagen , Dan reminds me that I’m a mere pedestrian in the field. His unique way of grasping and explaining a subject has always intrigued and enticed me as a reader and he’s once again shed light on a subject I felt I knew much about. For those looking to bulk up their knowledge in the field of collagen and all of its wonders or for those who have been cautiously dancing around the subject with a bit of interest, the time is now and the book is here! Kudos sir, and we’ll done !My only negative was the fact that I can only give this book 5 stars!

    Easy Read – Dan writing is top notch!
    Really enjoyed this book, especially Chapter 7 on How To Pick The Right Product. I’m a fan of Collagen but really had no idea the level of complexity involved in deciding which one. Dan does an A+ job of breaking this down including Pros + Cons. Nice work!

    I’ve been consistent with taking collagen and new a little bit, while always wondering about what the different types mean, how much, is there too much, what all is it good for, etc., and to my surprise, this book covered all of it! I found this book to read well and also gave great insights into the benefits of collagen, plus how easily we can get it everyday. The author did a great job covering this very important topic!
