This is a very capable facial steamer, with nano ionic misting. What is interesting about this updated product is the improved design for aromatherapy application. They have an assembly that you insert an absorbent âplug/discâ. Then you apply the essential oil onto the absorbent disc, and then insert the plastic assembly into the steamerâs output spout. Then you run the steamer as usual, and it expels the mist along with traces of the essential oil. This is certainly an improvement over other steamers that merely had an absorbent pad or tiny reservoir sitting near the exit spout of the steamer. However, when tested, we couldnât affix the aromatherapy piece into the spout. It was an improper fit and could not be securely inserted/attached. This was a major disappointment.The product performs well as a facial steamer. It does take a brief time to get up to proper heating levels, but it does have an ample reservoir. It can provide steam for up to 15 minutes, which is rather substantial for the product genre. A nice aspect is the nozzle/spout can be vertically adjusted.At the cost of $26, including the current $10 discount coupon, itâs competitively priced. In fact, itâs a very good value at this price point.I like the versatility and utility of this steamer. Itâs an effective moisturizing nano ion facial steamer that can also double as a humidifier and aromatherapy diffuser. And, the appearance is sedate, and should fit into most decors.We feel this is a decent facial misting/steaming device, at a good cost. However, we are very disappointed with the aromatherapy feature. As such, this product receives a 3.5 – 3.75 star rating.

Compact, easy to use; water pooling outside tank
I’ve tried a few facial steamers, and I was pretty excited about this one. I was planning to leave a five star review, but when I pulled the water tank out to refill it, I realized there was a pool of standing water inside the back end of the device, which shouldn’t be happening. I’d screwed the lid on the tank tightly before insertion, and it’s not leaking at all, so this appears to be a design flaw. It’s a problem, because once you pull the tank out, you have to carefully carry the steamer to a sink and pour the puddle out.Otherwise, this is a great little device. It’s extremely compact and easy to use. The water heats up VERY quickly, within a minute or two, and the steam output is robust. The nozzle can be rotated to get a different angle. There’s one push button on the front to turn it on or off (needs a firm press) and it glows blue when it’s on. The bottom has rubber feet to keep it from sliding.There’s also optional essential oil sponges to insert in the nozzle, which is convenient, and there’s a whole tiny ziplock bag of them. The device arrives well-packaged and includes a user’s manual. I do feel the current price of $40 is too high for the actual product.

Great little affordable steamer
I really like this unit. Itâs sleek and pretty, and does what it says.I got it for two uses. Iâm not able to take OTC medications for colds, and so I always steam my head with tea tree, eucalyptus, and peppermint essential oils – those are the expectorant oils – and they have a great decongestant effect, and clear my head wonderfully. In the past, I just used to put a saucepan of water on the stove, put drops of oil in, and put a towel around my head, and gasp and splutter as the steam went up my nostrils. It worked, but it was old fashioned and messy.This unit though, you can add your essential oils to it, and direct the steam toward your face. I donât think i need the towel, as you can point the steam to directly where you want it, because the nozzle is adjustable.And as a beauty steamer itâs invaluable to open your pores, if you want to squeeze your blackheads or make sure your cleanser is getting pore deep. We used steamers in Beauty School when doing facials, along with Dermalogica Scaling Fluid, which was used to help with extractions of blackheads and whiteheads. Well i donât have any of that anymore, and my beauty school days are long past, though I know Dermalogica still sell that product to professionals.This NewWay Nano Ionic Facial Steamer does make my face feel wonderfully clean, and i know it will help me get rid of any blackheads that might pop up. Iâm very happy with it, and the price is good.
