Great design. Sturdy and nimble.
Materials used are really nice. The screw you have to tighten the blades together is just *chefs kiss*. It works on a detent system I think. So every micro turn is locked into place. This allows you to fine tune them to perfection and when you’re happy they don’t move. They cut flawlessly all the way to the tip. They feel great in the hand, they are really sharp, and the blades came aligned perfectly. To give an example, you can cut single ply tissue paper the full length of the blade cleanly, with one cut. That’s pretty good. A lot of scissors like this would allow the paper to slip between the blades either at the bottom near the handle, or at the tip. Not these little guys. Good price makes it a five star product for me.

Work just as well Left handed as they do Right
I don’t leave very many product reviews. Those I do leave are for products that are very bad or products I’m very impressed with. These scissors easily fit into the second category.First of all, these scissors are VERY SHARP. I like the adjustment knob allowing you to adjust the tension. I’m a “Lefty” who was converted to doing things Righthanded when I was young. As a result I do things lefthanded as well as righthanded. Like all Lefties I know the frustration of scissors that are made for righthanded people. For those of you righthanded, yes there is a difference.Like most scissors these are made to be used righthanded, but simply turning them over makes them work just as well lefthanded. The fingerholes do not have the ergonomic design to be used only one way. they fit your fingers equally well either way.I had concerns regarding the finger rest, but saw where it was removable. Immediately upon receiving the scissors I unscrewed the rest and set it aside. Since only one of the handles is tapped for the finger rest to be screwed into I was sure it was intended for righthanded use and didn’t see the need. After about a week of using the scissors to trim my beard, I decided to put the finger rest it back on and see if it helped or was an obstruction, as I suspected. After reinstalling it, I was pleased to find it does not get in the way and I actually prefer it with the finger rest installed.I use an electric trimmer to trim my beard, but there are always a few hairs it leaves a little long. If you work in an office and have a short to medium beard and like me want your beard to look professional, these scissors make quick and easy work of trimming your beard to look like you just got out of the barber’s chair.If I have to find fault it would be the finger holes being just slightly smaller than I’d prefer. This was annoying at first, but not that big of a deal once I got used to it. These scissors are not like the scissors your wife keeps in the kitchen drawer or that you use to cut wrapping paper. With those you want larger holes, but for what these are used for, if you are like me, you will find these work very nicely and feel good in your hand.I would not hesitate to buy them again, if I ever lost this set. That is the only reason I can see the need to ever need to buy another set of scissors like these. They are extremely sharp and well designed. I’ll never wear them out. If you are on the fence about which pair to buy, you can’t go wrong with this set. they come in a nice carry case for travel and there is even an included comb that fits in the case with the scissors.Just so you don’t think I’m being compensated for this review, I’ve received nothing from the company other than a product of the highest quality.If something should change regarding my opinion of these, I will update this review. If this is the last line you are reading of this review that indicates they are still working great.

Darn Good Mustache Scissors!
These are very good scissors — large enough that they’re easy to hold and use and long enough to make it easy to trim straight. They are adjustable, but work very good right out of the box.

Super sharp, great for beard and mustache maintenance
These scissors are perfect for trimming my beard and mustache. They are slightly shorter and less pointy than traditional barbers sheers that would be used for hair on the top of the head which makes it much easier to wield myself for trimming my facial hair. Having a finger rest instead of just the finger holes made a noticeable improvement in control that I didn’t expect. The finger inserts also make them quite comfortable to use. Perhaps if you had particularly girthy fingers you would need to take them out or struggle with the finger holes, however, I don’t have a problem and I don’y think many would. For reference, my wedding band is a size 12 and I have no problem fitting my fingers in the finger holes.The adjustable screw is a great feature that lets you adjust the pressure between the thumb and finger blades so that they never get loose resulting in tugging or a less than perfect slice. These are sharp out of the box and cut beautifully. I haven’t had a single hair get caught or tugged it always just shears right through every hair giving a crisp line where I want it. As for maintenance, so far I have just made sure to keep them dry (I also don’t store them in the bathroom since I need to replace the exhaust fan and it gets quite humid after showers, etc.). I may oil the ride and screw assembly at some point but they are still as smooth as they were when they come out of the box several months ago. If you are looking for a quality set of shears at a fair price, these are for you.
