Satisfied with Product
I did my research on berberine after my lab results showed my insulin levels at 27 making me high insulin resistant. I changed my diet no carb or sugars (to very minimum almost nothing) and I just had my labs done again, my Insulin level went down to 14. Very happy with that. I was also able to finally drop some lbs. (14 lbs in about a month and half) before I had struggled to lose weight even while on semiglutide. No other side effects.Pills are big but easy to take. My capsules also got to me pretty stuck to each other BUT THEY ARE GEL LIKE COVERED so get them out of mailbox as soon as theyre delivered. No taste, no after taste. So far so good. Really happy with my purchase.

This is my first experience with berberine. I read that it had similar effects as popular weight loss meds like Ozempic or Wegovy. This is how I found out about berberine. My insurance is denying all the medications for weight loss so I decided to try this out.I started taking them Feb. 8, 2025. This review is being written April 1, 2025. In that time I’ve lost ~50 pounds. Which sounds like a lot, but I’m a VERY large man. So don’t get too excited. Along with starting to take berberine I adjusted my diet significantly (this is probably the most important part). I completely cut out carbs and sugar (not counting apples and bananas, other fruit). I increased the protein and veg intake. NO BREAD!!! NO DESSERTS!!! NO SODIE POPS!!!Over time I found that I do not crave food as much. I feel full sooner. My food intake has decreased quite a bit. Taste buds have changed and food tastes better. Milk is sweet now. Its all very exciting.Now, all this does come with a price. Like many others have expressed there is a slight bit of stomach discomfort. I’ve felt nauseous and have had to run to the bathroom multiple times and it wasn’t to vomit. Whatever came out of me was from the depths of Hell. It was NOT solid. It is the total opposite of solid, if you catch my drift. And at first, I didn’t read the symptoms and made mistakes but over time you start to feel it before it happens. So, it IS manageable. However, I would not take this on a road trip, a long movie/play, at work, school, etc… Unless you can handle a stream of waste that feels like your butt is a super soaker. So, there is risk involved. Everyone will react differently.All in all, I will continue taking this. I feel like the benefits outweigh the gastric drawbacks. I am ready to lose another 50 pounds and then some.My advice… try it out. You might be surprised.

I started by taking 2 pills on the first day, and I definitely noticed an increase in my heart rate. After that, I switched to just one pill in the morning, which felt much better for me. I ended up losing a few pounds in the first week, so Iâm happy with the results so far. The pill itself is a bit large, but itâs manageable. Overall, Iâm pleased with this product and would recommend

Allergic Reaction
I usually do not write reviews, but this was important enough to mention. After taking this supplement, my body broke out in hives, and I believe I am allergic to it. The process of elimination helped me figure that one out. So, if you decide to take this, be mindful of how your body reacts. I still rated it a four out of five because I believe it was helping me with my sugar levels, but unfortunately, my body did not like it.

Lowered Glucose Levels
I have been using it for one month and it dropped my glucose levels and even lost about 5 pounds. Even though I have been watching what I eat I couldn’t lower my A1C just by cutting carbs. I’m pre-diabetic and this has helped me. I take a pill before every meal. I haven’t had any side effects. I love sweets but berberine has helped me with those munchies to some level of repulsion to sweets and a sensation of full stomach.

No Doubt About It: This Supplement May Have SERIOUS Side Effects!
I really hate to write a negative review of a NOW Foods product, because I’ve used, trusted and benefitted from NOW supplements for many years. But after recent blood tests showing my Triglycerides, Glucose and A1C levels were higher than normal, I decided to start taking NOW’s Berberine Glucose Support supplement.For 17 days I took two softgels daily without incident. However, on the 18th day, about two hours following my after-dinner dose, I began feeling fatigued, a bit dizzy, nauseous and acquired a major headache. Needless to say, this was surprising and even a little scary, since I’d never had a reaction like that to a supplement. At first i thought it might’ve been due to something else, like food poisoning. But my dinner that night was a perfectly normal menu I’d enjoyed many times. These side effects took over 24 hours to dissipate.And THEN I read the one-star reviews of this Berberine supplement on Amazon and discovered that a number of users has also suffered similar side effects and even worse — continuous vomiting, chills and more. And interestingly, a number of users reported having used the supplement for a number of days without any problems before the side effects finally showed up.Although I have no way of knowing if this is true, I suspect that perhaps NOW’s Berberine Glucose Support had the accumulative effect of working to the point where my blood sugar became TOO low. And if that IS the case, I cannot continue taking this supplement, because the side effects are definitely NOT worth it. There are other ways to effectively lower Triglycerides, Glucose and A1C levels — like intermittent fasting, cutting back on sugars and carbs and exercising. But you might not want to include NOW Berberine Glucose Support, because the possible side effects are real — and can be SERIOUS.
